 some people spend most of their lives living close to where they were born. What might be the reasons for this? What are the advantages and disadvantages ?

Indubitably, the environment in which we live serves a plethora of benefits in terms of social security and comfortable arena to work in. It is believed that few people invest major part of the life living nearby the place where they had started from. Apparently, various factors breeds its popularity. However, it is a mixed bag of both boon and bane. 


Fundamentally, the predominant factors that evidently trigger it can be observed. Firstly, residing nearby to the place of your birth not only expands your social circle ,but also gives you an opportunity to stay connected with your near and dear ones in times of need. To vindicate, as per BBC research it has been revealed that elders of the family have a lot of experience and they can guide and show the correct path on critical issues pertaining to youngsters at times of decision making especially opt for which specialization after high school and selecting which marriage proposals. Secondly, unlike living in nuclear families, pursuing life in an ancestral home where you were born helps you imbibe both the family values and cultural understanding and growth. Thirdly, although sometimes you get lesser opportunities in terms of profession if the place where you were born is suburban area yet living there would give you an upper hand in every field as you know the nook and corner of that area. Thus, residing either near or at the place of the birth serves distinct advantages at an unprecedented scale. 

Nevertheless, it is a double edged sword. On the brighter side, prudence will prevail ,if an individual live nearby birth place as it comprehends to stay connected to one’s roots and pass on the values to next generation by exhibiting the example set by our ancestors which proves to be a milestone in building youngsters character provided they are socially aware about their surroundings. On the darker side, this can hamper one’s professional growth until we explore different parts of the world , we can not broaden our horizon of knowledge. 

To recapitulate, even though living close to the place of birth has its own inherited upsides, it’s destructive ripples in terms of less professional and overall growth is unsurpassable. Needless to state, rather than staying at one place with limited skills and opportunities, it is always beneficial to explore the other host of ostensible factors responsible for gradual evolvement of a person
