Increase in the production of consumer goods result in damage to the natural environment. What are the causes of this? What can be done to solve this problem? IELTS WRITING TASK-2 | IELTS

Increase in the production of consumer goods result in damage to the natural environment. What are the causes of this? What can be done to solve this problem?

Indubitably, human wants and needs are continuously evolving and expanding, and there is no end to them. It is believed that the exponential rise in the production of consumer goods has resulted in detrimental ramifications on the environment at an unprecedented scale. Apparently, modernization and industrialization are to be blamed for this universal phenomenon. However, coercive steps can be taken by the successive governments, industries and individuals can overcome this menace.

Fundamentally, there are various factors that contribute to environmental damage. First and foremost, not only the excessive use of natural resources is a factor influencing environmental harm due to increased consumer goods production, but also host of ostensible factors, such as the improper disposal of waste, the use of non-renewable energy sources, and the overuse of pesticides and fertilizers in agriculture. To vindicate, according to a recent research, it has been revealed that the overabundant application of these chemicals result in soil and water contamination, which  have catastrophic repercussions on ecosystems and public health. Secondly, unlike the manufacturing of consumer goods, the transportation of these goods to market and their disposal after use also have dismal consequences, including greenhouse gas emissions and landfill waste. Thus, it is of paramount significance to adopt a more sustainable approach to production and consumption to minimize these adverse effects.

Nevertheless, there are predominant measures that can be taken to address this grave issue. Chiefly,
if individuals and businesses prioritize sustainability in their practices, they can have substantial contribution in mitigating environmental deterioration. To corroborate, a business can combat its negative environmental impact by enforcing energy-efficient technologies and reducing waste through recycling and composting. Individuals can also contribute by adopting sustainable habits such as using reusable bags and containers, conserving energy and water, and choosing environmentally-friendly products. Furthermore, can governments also take part in curtailing the negative impacts? Certainly, yes. Since, governments could establish regulations to limit the use of hazardous materials and ensure proper disposal of waste, and promote sustainable production methods, such as using renewable energy sources and reducing waste. Consequently, carrying out sustainable practices by individuals, businesses, and successive governments can effectively curb environmental degradation.

To conclude, although the increased production of consumer goods have harmed the natural environment yet a paradigm shift towards sustainable production methods and increased public awareness could be indispensable in diminishing these problems.

Traditionally, museums served as knowledge centers for historical and cultural aspects. With the increasing use of the Internet, museums have become obsolete. Do you agree or disagree? IELTS WRITING TASK-2

Traditionally, museums served as knowledge centers for historical and cultural aspects. With the increasing use of the Internet, museums have become obsolete. Do you agree or disagree?

Indubitably, museums have been significant institutions for preserving and displaying art, artifacts and other objects of cultural and historical significance for centuries. It is often argued that with the exponential rise of the internet and digital media, museums are no longer relevant and they can be replaced by virtual or online resources. However, I partially agree with the given notion.

Apparently, the internet has revolutionized the way we access and consume information about the world in a plethora of ways. First and foremost, not only one can explore thousands of museums and galleries from all over the world, but also access high resolution images, videos and audio recordings of their collections. To vindicate, according to BBC research, it has been revealed that online museum visits have a high positive impact on visitor’s engagement and satisfaction as compared to offline visits. Secondly, the internet has brought a paradigm shift in the way museums engage with audiences. Unlike in the past, museums can reach wider and diverse audiences, irrespective of their location, language or background through the use of social media, live streaming or online events. Thus, this shift has created new opportunities for museums to promote learning and cultural exchange around the world.

Nevertheless, I believe that museums offer unique benefits that cannot be fully provided by the internet. Chiefly, if visitors have the opportunity to physically visit the museum, they can have a hands-on experience that allows them to appreciate the art in a way that cannot be expressed digitally. To corroborate, seeing the Mona Lisa or other paintings can leave a lasting impression on visitors. Furthermore, does it create an environment that encourages the development of critical thinking, curiosity and learning? Certainly, yes. Since museums are not just about displaying the art or objects, but also about interpreting them and presenting them in a meaningful way. Consequently, visitors can gain a deeper understanding and appreciation of the art’s historical and cultural background, which can contribute to their personal growth and development at an unprecedented scale.

To conclude, although the internet has changed the way we access and share information about art, history and culture yet I do not think museums have become obsolete. Instead, I believe that museums can leverage the power of technology to enhance the education system.

Nowadays, many people have cosmetic surgery to enhance their appearance. Is this a positive or a negative development? IELTS | IELTS WRITING TASK-2

Nowadays, many people have cosmetic surgery to enhance their appearance. Is this a positive or a negative development?
Indubitably, in the contemporary era there is an exponential rise in the field of dermatology. It is often argued that millennial prefer to alter one’s features in order to increase their beauty. However, it is both a constructive and a destructive trend.

Apparently, cosmetic surgery holds a wide range of constructive benefits. First and foremost, not only it is a key factor influencing confidence, but also it creates constructive ripple by making a path to earn money. To vindicate, social media influencers earn heaps of money on basis of their beauty from promoting distinct  brands on the social media. Secondly, unlike yester years when people were compelled to live life with features they hated, now they can modify their features they do not like and fall in love with their body. Subsequentlya person who undergoes liposuction to remove excess fat may feel more confident in their body, leading them to pursue activities they previously avoided. Hence, cosmetic surgeries are welcomed warmly as it lead to elated state of mind of people by improving their mental health by mitigating anxiety and depression related to one's appearance.

Nevertheless, it entails myriad detrimental ramifications. Chielfy, if an individual gets a cosmetic surgery ,they can face chronic medical problems which could be fatal. To corroborate, according to a research conducted by BBC, it is revealed renowned singer Micheal Jackson had over 40 operations within 10 years and none were a success. Furthermore, is getting a cosmetic surgery expensive? Certainly, yes. Since,  it costs millions which makes having these treatments only accessible to wealthy people.

To encapsulate, although cosmetic surgeries are host of ostensible factors in building self esteem and a path for making money yet its potential problems like fatal affect on health cannot be ignored. Needless to state, cosmetic surgery is not a cure for deeper emotional issues and should not be pursued as such.

Nowadays, instead of locally sourced produce, many supermarkets sell a variety of foods imported from countries all across the world. Do the advantages of this development outweigh the disadvantages? IELTS | IELTS WRITING TASk-2

Nowadays, instead of locally sourced produce, many supermarkets sell a variety of foods imported from countries all across the world.

Do the advantages of this development outweigh the disadvantages?
Indubitably, with the globalisation, there is free movement of goods and services all across the globe. It is often argued that major sellers prefer providing exotic eatables in the supermarkets. However, eventhough this practice brings about mixed bag of both boon and bane, demerits of imported food outshines its merits.

Apparently, selling foreign food entails myriad detrimental ramifications. First and foremost, not only the foreign food is processed ,but also it give exponential rise to the chronic health issues. To vindicate, as per research by BBC, it is revealed that 30% of the exotic fruits are loaded with synthetic preservatives to enhance the shelf life of the fruits. Secondly, unlike locally produced products which have a substantial contribution towards the national economy, by the sale of alien foods foreign countries reap the benefits and these food items put a strain on the income and employement of local people. Furthermore, if the supermarkets import the eatables, it can bring the imminent threat of fatal bacteria and viruses that can commute with foods from the globe.

Nevertheless, it holds constructive benefit. Chiefly, does selling foreign foods provide a variety? Certainly, yes. Since, foreign foods are sold in the local arena, it gives millennial large variety to choose from as well as offers more nutrition. To corroborate, in India KIWI which is a fruit of New Zealand is imported and it is a source of vitamic C. Additionally, exotic foods create constructive ripples in local market as they offer better quality that can not be provided by locally produced products.

To encapsulate, although promotion of foreign food could cause catastrophic repercussions on the health of the millennial yet it bring good quality and variety to the local market. Needless to state, cons of imported food massively tide over its pros.

Some believe that success in life comes from hard work and determination. Others think that it depends on factors such as money or personal appearance. Discuss both views and give your opinion. IELTS | IELTS WRITING TASK-2

Some believe that success in life comes from hard work and determination. Others think that it depends on factors such as money or personal appearance. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

In the cut throat competitive era, everyone is running in a rat race to gain success in life. However, there are predominantly two contrasting views where a section of society vehemently deems that being diligent in life is a key factor influencing success. While others emphasise that success is based on money and beauty.

Apparently, various factors make a section of people advocate that being hardworking is the fundamental path to success and have many reasons to substantiate it. First and foremost, not only people get success at an unprecedented scale by burning the midnight oil, but also they learn the importance of hard work in their life which eventually help them throughout their life. To vindicate, according to BBC research, it has been revealed that 90% of the big names such as Apple, Samsung were made with their determination and hard work. Secondly, unlike inheritance which makes a person lethargic and work shirker, being diligent opens the door of multifarious opportunities in life and makes a person humble. Thus, following the path of hard work and relying on one’s capabilities is of paramount significance to get ahead in life.

Nevertheless, some believe that there are other factors like inherited wealth and beauty which has a substantial contribution in the success of a person. Chiefly, if a person has wealth in their life which they got from their family, it becomes easy to initiate a business because they have the investment required for it. Hence, the hustle for the investment is reduced by leaps and bounds and one can use that energy on improving other skills. To corroborate, as per Forbes magazine, inherited wealth always provide an extra edge to a person for becoming successful in life. Additionally, are looks correlated with the success? Certainly, yes. Since there are distinct ways to become successful in life, like becoming a model or an actor are the professions which results in hefty earnings. Consequently, in these fields having magnificent faces and body can aid in success.

In my profound opinion, although being diligent creates constructive ripples in the success of a person, one cannot ignore the role of ancestral wealth and genetic beauty in becoming famous and successful. Needless to state hard work, money as well as beauty all are the factors that have their own place in the success story of a person.

Nowadays companies are trying to increase the sales of their products in various ways. What are the different methods that they use? Which one is the most effective? IELTS WRITING TASK-2 | IELTS 8Band writing

Nowadays companies are trying to increase the sales of their products in various ways. What are the different methods that they use? Which one is the most effective?

Indubitably, every company thrive for maximum success. It is believed that modern firms are adopting multiple mediums to enhance the sales of their product at an unprecedented scale. Apparently, methods such as advertisements and giving additional discounts is being embraced by companies across the globe. However, advertising through internet is most promising.

Fundamentally, the predominant ways of promoting the product can be observed. Firstly, not only advertising through various mediums like articles in the newspaper, television can augment sales ,but also the introduction of new products is a key factor influencing sales. To corroborate, according to BBC research it is revealed that technological advances like the electric vehicles produced by Tesla has exponentially risen the company’s growth rate. Secondly, unlike an ordinary person advertising a product, celebrity endorsements are a host of ostensible factor as fans adore them so anything they have, say, wear, or do will gain attention. The makeup brand Kylie Cosmetics substantiates it since it is just a knock-off of Colorpop, but because Kylie is promoting it, it sells more makeup than the original brand. Thirdly, despite selling the product at original price, providing additional discounts on the subsequent purchase motivates the customer to buy the particular good. To vindicate, according to the ,survey the sales of Amazon products during the Great Indian Festival rises more than 300% than some other day.

Nevertheless, in my profound and sagacious opinion utilization of social media platforms like Facebook and Instagram has substantial contribution in selling more products as promotions on these channels catch the attention of even the most elusive consumer because everyone is online. They can buy whatever they like from anywhere with just a click of a button.

To recapitulate, although in order to experience the growth of revenue, organisations choose distinct strategies yet online advertising is fundamental.

Governments should spend more money on medical research and less on researching the environment. To what extent do you agree or disagree? IELTS | IELTS writing task-2

Governments should spend more money on medical research and less on researching the environment. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

Indubitably, successive governments use distinct strategies to channelize funds across different departments to cater the needs of everyone. It is often argued that supreme bodies should allocate more funds in the field of medical sciences and research as compared to the research being done on environment. However, I partially agree to this notion.

Apparently, whopping investment in making advancements in the field of medicine holds wide range of constructive benefits. First and foremost, medical advancements will not only help to bring down the mortality rates of adults in the nation, but also increase the life expectancy rates of newly born babies at an unprecedented scale. For example, according to BBC news nations which spent more than 50% of their annual budget on medical research reported 80% less deaths than other nations where government did not  invest enough in the medical field. Secondly, unlike other sectors, investing in medical research will help government prepare better for outbreaks like CoVID-19 and provide nation wide vaccines at a much quicker and efficient way. Thus, authorities should invest heavily in medical research.

On the other hand, allocating sufficient amount of funds for research on environment is of paramount significance for myriad reasons. Chiefly, research on different environmental factors will not only provide us better understanding about our surroundings, but also help scientists understand causes of various life threatening diseases faced by humans and animals. For instance, according to Forbes magazine nations spending higher amount of funds on enviroment studies were able to reduce medical problems of their citizens 70% more efficiently than nations who didn't spend enough moeny. Furthermore, investing in environmental studies and research will help government find alternatives to the already depleting sources of energy like coal and petroleum. Hence, government should continue to invest in researches on environment.

In my profound opinion, researches on both environment and medical sciences has substantial contribution. Hence, government should channelize funds according to well designed strategy rather than giving preference to one particular field out of the two.

Some people say that protecting the environment is the government’s responsibility. Other believe that every individual should be responsible for it.Discuss both views and give your opinion.

Indubitably, environmental degradation has become a burning issue. It has increased at an alarming rate leading to the loss of biodiversity, ozone layer depletion. Nonetheless, prudence will prevail if coercive steps are taken up. However, there are predominantly two contrasting views where a section of society vehemently deems that preservation of environment is the prime duty of successive governments while other emphasizes  that every human being must be liable for it.

Apparently, various factors make a section of people advocate that authorities should work for sustainable living and have many reasons to substantiate it. Firstly, not only supreme bodies should train more people working in public services to collect trash ,but also introduce tough regulations on factories with a limit on waste allowance. To corroborate, according to BBC research it is revealed that the largest amount of pollution is normally created by big enterprises and factories thus urban areas need to be protected from the poisonous fumes, which factories frequently discharge into the atmosphere and only governments have the power or ability to restrict or force them to control pollution in a reasonable measurement. Secondly, unlike cities, factories need to be shifted to countryside by legal bodies. On top of that, creating both TV programs to educate citizen and organising campaigns to spread awareness among people can mitigate environmental problems.

Nevertheless, some believe that each person can have substantial contribution in protecting their own neighbourhood for myriad reasons. Chiefly, if everyone use their own vehicles only in rare cases, it would protect the climate at an unprecedented scale. To vindicate, according to Forbes Magazine, it is revealed that Cars are considered a major host of ostensible factor of air pollution. Their exhaust gases contaminate the air, ranging from carbon dioxide to unburnt carbon. Hence, a paradigm shift in the behaviour of patrons can alleviate this perennial issue. Furthermore, does reduction in the usage of plastic bags bring constructive ripples in environment? Certainly yes, since it Saves energy. Reduces greenhouse gas emissions, which contribute towards climate change. Reduces the amount of waste that needs to be recycled or, in developing countries, sent to landfills/incinerators. Saves money, since reusable items work out cheaper than constantly purchasing more plastic.

In my profound opinion, environmental degradation can be mitigated by collaborative efforts of both governments and individuals.
