In many countries the law says that all young people must attend school or college until 18 years of age. Do you think the advantages of the individuals and families outweigh disadvantages ? IELTS | IELTS WRITING Task-2

In many countries the law says that all young people must attend school or college until 18 years of age. Do you think the advantages of the individuals and families outweigh disadvantages ?

Indubitably, being educated in a school or college have a substantial contribution in an individual’s life. It is believed that in this modern era, all younglings should attend formal education at school and college until 18 years of age. However, even though this practice brings about a mixed bag of both boon and bane , the merits of getting education at school outshines the demerits.

Apparently, these academic institutions play an indispensable role in shaping the future of a child. First and foremost, children acquire the basic academic skills not only they get accumulated with necessary communication and socialising skills, but also they can generate employment and build a better future for themselves. To corroborate, according to BBC research it has been revealed that Japan has the highest rate of employment as they have compulsory schooling till the reach 18 years of age. Secondly, unlike the bygone days,  the current society is competitive and in order to survive one has to be sufficiently educated to provide basic necessities to their family.Thirdly, Young ones at this tender age if not educated could be lured by materialistic possession and physical comfort  can may turn to  illegal activities such as robbery.

Nevertheless, forceful education can leave a child in stress circumstances if he does not have vested interest in academics. Jobs such as Chef, several business and sports does not necessarily require to be educated. To vindicate, according to Forbes magazine almost 60% of the local businessman in India have not completed high school.

To recapitulate, although teenagers are expected to stay in school till 18 years of age, with some exceptions.Needless to state, the pros massively tide over cons.

An American film actor John Wayne once said : Tomorrow is the most important thing in life” How is it important for individuals and countries/ societies to think about the future rather than focus on present only ? IELTS | IELTS WRITING TASK-2

An American film actor John Wayne once said : Tomorrow is the  most important thing in life” How is it important for individuals and countries/ societies to think about the future rather than focus on present only ?

It is an undeniable fact that future is unpredictable. It is often argued that despite thinking about present ,the common generation should focus more about the future. However, I firmly agree with the given notion.

Apparently, thinking about the future help the individuals to have positive approach towards life. Chiefly, not only people can plan and build their life, but also they can pursue their dreams and live a lavish life if they have already have a plan for their future. To corroborate, according to BBC research it has been found that nearly 60% of millionaires comment that it was their thinking and readiness about the future that led a paradigm shift in their lives and achieve the extraordinary. Secondly, Unlike the bygone days, in this ultra modern epoch where everything is rapidly moving and changing and in order to thrive in this ever-changing era we have to consider thinking about the future. Thus, paying heed to the coming time is never harmful .

Thirdly, planning plays a crucial role for the people and a country’s administration also. If we are already prepared for the consequences, we can shape the present and prevent several uncertainties. To vindicate, according to Forbes magazine it has been revealed that it was the readiness of China to aware the people about the increasing population and introduction of the family law which has helped them to control its population at an unprecedented scale. Furthermore, Should we stop thinking about the present and focus about the foresight ? Certainly , no we should live the present but consider on the future eventually, it will help us in shape , transform and expand every horizon associated with our lives.

To recapitulate, although living in the present is the key to live a memorable life yet it is vital to pay heed to the future as good as the present to lead a meaningful life.

Some people believe that it is good to share as much information as possible in scientific research, business and the academic world. Others believe that some information is too important or too valuable to be shared freely. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion. IELTS | IELTS WRITING TASK-2

Some people believe that it is good to share as much information as possible in scientific research, business and the academic world. Others believe that some information is too important or too valuable to be shared freely. Discuss both these views and give your own opinion.

In the modern era, data and information have become a very important and valuable asset. However, there are predominantly two contrasting views where a section of society deems that information about scientific research, business and academic should be shared to the world without any motive to make profit or money, while other emphasizes that some information should not be shared freely.

https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL2SnntlB81YmT9uAiUwr6y_Uq5IK8VvDd

Apparently, various factors make a section of people advocate that data and information should be shared freely and have many reasons to justify it. First and foremost is, information related to medical research can not only help to increase the life span of people as it is said ‘prevention is better than cure’ ,but also help people save from deadly diseases. For example, recently to fight the COVID-19 virus all the big medical institutions helped each other and shared all the information such as paramount significance of Golden milk and coconut water. It also  helped them to create vaccines and medicines in very little span of time. Secondly, sharing valuable information can help to increase the safety standards of products used in the daily life, for instance Volvo was the company which created the modern seat belt of cars, for the safety of the consumers worldwide they gave the technique to make it for free to all other car manufacturers. Thirdly, sharing information on knowledge freely on various platform like Youtube and other digital media can help the people who cannot afford to pay fees for their education and also help the people living in remote areas to also access the information.

On the other hand, some believe that important information should not be provided freely for myriad reasons. Chiefly, valuable and important information related to life threatening things should not be shared freely. For example, information on how to create nuclear energy should not be shared as some countries may have band intentions and can become reason for world war. Furthermore, some information regarding companies like their finances, techniques , contracts should not be shared as they can lose their competitive advantage, also people may trade in shares on the basis of this information which would result in insider trading which is unlawful.

In my profound opinion, information should be shared to a certain extent. If the information benefits the world as a whole, people with the information and data should not hesitate to share it as it may save many lives.

Explain the benefits of having a parking area would bring to the company

Dear Mr. Sharma,

My name is Nisha Garg. I am working as Product Manager at your renowned company. I am writing this letter to bring your attention towards the potential problems caused by unavailability of parking at the Business District office.

Apparently, the parking problems has significantly affected the sales of the company as most of our customers are walk-ins and have a four wheeler. This parking issue is a problem not only for the employees ,but also for the customers who tend to not visit our office due to unavailability of parking.

Fundamentally, having our own parking space would considerably benefit on the sales of our company. Unlike our other offices, the business district office has the largest number of walk-ins and having a own parking would have paradigm shift in productivity of sales.

Nonetheless, I would like to recommend that there is an empty parking lot just behind our office with all the necessary security arrangements. There are boom barriers and tag facility also present so, we need not to worry about the management of the facility.

I hope you will consider my suggestion, looking forward to hearing from you.

Yours sincerely,
Nisha Garg

Nowadays many families are rarely having meals together. Why is this happening? Is this a positive or a negative development? IELTS | IELTS WRITING TASK-2

Nowadays many families are rarely having meals together. Why is this happening? Is this a positive or a negative development?

Indubitably, family has paramount significance in an individuals life.It is believed that in this ultra modern epoch, families having meal together has become a thing of the past. Apparently, modernisation and westernisation is to be blamed for this universal development. However, this is a destructive trend.

Fundamentally, the predominant factors that has evidently led to this can be observed. First and foremost, people have a hectic work schedule not only they have demanding work appointments  , but also due to their professional commitments they tend to live away from their household. To vindicate, according to BBC research it has been found that nearly 70 % of families in Japan have at least one individual who has to live away from family due to their jobs. Furthermore, unlike the bygone days, in this contemporary era, people are engrossed in social media so much people tend to destress themselves in front of television or on their phone rather than sitting and having meals with their families. Thus, the influx of technology and several  professional commitments are the prime reason for decreased family time.

Nevertheless, I find this trend negative for myriad reasons. Chiefly, Family mealtimes are a time to share news, give guidance and to make plans together. If families do not have meals together, they can not share their feelings and discuss any thoughts that are bothering them. To corroborate, according to Forbes magazine it has been found that families that have at least one meal together have better emotional understanding with each other. Furthermore, does this trend affect children’s development ? Certainly Yes, family bonds have always been the key instrument for passing on cultural values, knowledge and experience for children and also help children to have healthy foods rather than gorging on unhealthy food items.

To recapitulate, although  several reasons could be identified for the decline in shared family meals Yet we cannot ignore the overwhelming benefits of having meals together

Multi-cultural societies, in which there is a mixture of different ethnic peoples, brings more benefits than drawbacks to a country. To what extent do you agree or disagree? IELTS | IELTS WRITING TASK-2

Multi-cultural societies, in which there is a mixture of different ethnic peoples, brings more benefits than drawbacks to a country. To what extent do you agree or disagree?

It is an undeniable fact that many people migrate to different countries for better life and hence most countries in the world have experienced multiculturalism. It is often argued that the countries consisting of people of different cultures and ethnicity get more advantages, and the benefits outweigh the drawbacks. However, I partially agree to the given notion.

https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL2SnntlB81YmT9uAiUwr6y_Uq5IK8VvDd

Apparently, multiculturalism brings wide range of constructive benefits to a country. First and foremost is, people from different cultures and religions help the country in its economic progress and development, as they can share their different views and experiences of their cultures. For example, countries like USA have developed so much in a short amount of time majorly because of immigrants from different cultures and religions, also Canada is now opening its borders to people from other countries to fast track their growth and development. Secondly, people get to learn about the different traditions, festivals and food of other cultures, which will boost the feeling of brotherhood and create a bond between people.

On the other hand, people of different ethnicity in a society can have detrimental effects for myriad reasons. Chiefly, racism and discrimination go hand in hand with multiculturalism, majorly it goes unreported and unnoticed only sometimes people stand for it. For instance, in the USA many people are killed that to by policemen without any reason, only because they belong to a particular culture. Furthermore, sometimes there are situations where people of different cultures go against each other for reasons like jealousy or sometimes a situation is created purposely for political reasons, this leads to huge loss of life as well as property, as people damage things to show their power.

To recapitulate, multiculturalism brings more benefits than its drawbacks, but with the help of the government and the citizens these drawbacks can be waived off. The government should try not to be partial and have rules and benefits same for all the people.

Some people think that couples should live together before getting married to start knowing each other better and see if they are compatible. Others say that because of this tendency people become immoral and only deep emotional attachment makes a durable alliance. Discuss both views and give your opinion. IELTS | IELTS WRITING TASK-2

Some people think that couples should live together before getting married to start knowing each other better and see if they are compatible. Others say that because of this tendency people become immoral and only deep emotional attachment makes a durable alliance. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

In the modern era, the concept of live-in relationship has become popular among the new generation. However, there are predominantly two contrasting views where a section of society deems that couples should spend some time living together before getting married to test their compatibility and rapport, while other emphasizes that it is wrongful and only emotional affection and attachment is enough.

Apparently, various factors make a section of people advocate that couples to move in and stay together before marriage is beneficial and have many reasons to justify it. First and foremost is, marriage is a very big step in one’s life, and which should be done after considering many factors compatibility being one of the major factor. Living together before marriage will not only help couples to understand each other, but also make a decision on their marriage, as the proverb goes ‘prevention is better than cure’, this will prevent divorces in the long run as they can end things before marriage if it does not work out. For example, according to BBC research two out of three couples in the USA believe that moving in together before marriage is the best way to avoid divorce in the future. Secondly, when couples get married, it then involves their families and many others, hence if they get married and if it does not work in the future then it may spoil and damage many relations which can be avoided if they feel that they are non-compatible whey staying together before marriage. Thirdly, it is seen that couples do not take their finances seriously when they are dating, hence staying together will help them to plan their finances.

On the other hand, some believe that live-in makes people immoral and only deep emotional attachment is enough for myriad reasons. Chiefly, it is seen that either partner in the relationship gets very attached and obsessed with the other partner when they live together, and when things do not work out they try to defame their partner. For instance, they charge false accusations and false charges on their partner. Secondly, many a times couple get used to living together and think, why should they get married and continue living the same way, but this should not be the case as marriage is a legal bond and they get rights which will help them if bad situations arise in the future.

In my profound opinion, only emotional attachment is not enough for couples to get married, they should also be compatible with each other and should also be able to trust and tolerate each other, which can be known if they stay together before marriage. Hence, live-in has more benefits than drawbacks, and can help a marriage to be more successful.

Towns and cities are attractive places. Some people suggest that the government should spend money putting in more works of art like paintings and statues to make them better to live in. Do you agree or disagree? IELTS | IELTS WRITING TASK-2

Towns and cities are attractive places. Some people suggest that the government should spend money putting in more works of art like paintings and statues to make them better to live in. Do you agree or disagree?

It is an undeniable fact that urban cities and towns are dream places where people want to live once in their lifetime. It is often argued that the government should spend some part of the financial budget on the beautification of cities and towns by promoting art like statues and paintings. However, I firmly agree to the given notion.

https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL2SnntlB81YmT9uAiUwr6y_Uq5IK8VvDd

Apparently, art can help to develop cities and towns through various ways. First and foremost is, creating statues and artwork helps not only to increase tourism, but also it increases employment in that area where the statue is built. For example, according to the Gujarat government the Statue of Unity has helped to increase tourism majorly and has also helped to create jobs for the local people, indirectly increasing the economic progress of that area. Secondly, statues of famous leaders and freedom fighters helps to keep the history of the country intact and also gives a feeling of hope and encouragement to children who visit it.

Thirdly, good art helps to create a distraction from the tedious daily life and refresh the mind. For instance, according to BBC research art in any form be it painting, dance or music helps to reduce stress and tension. Fourthly, it is seen that if a place is dirty, people tend to make it more dirty by throwing garbage, so if all the places are beautified then people will think twice before throwing garbage on the road and in turn keep the city clean.

To recapitulate, government should with the help of the citizens try to promote these paintings and statues and also maintain them. Make strict rules and punishments if someone is seen littering or damaging the paintings and statues.

Some people believe famous people’s support towards international aid organizations draws the attentions to problem, whereas others think celebrities make the problems less important. Discuss both sides and give your opinion.

In the modern era, there is an increase in the number of international aid organizations around the world which are backed by famous people like film stars, sportsman and politicians. However, there are predominantly two contrasting views where a section of society deems that famous people have a positive influence and create awareness about the problem by supporting international aid organizations while other emphasizes that it is not done to prioritize the problem.

Apparently, various factors make a section of people advocate that famous people’s support towards International aid organizations draws attention to problems and have many reasons to justify it. First and foremost is, most of the famous people have a great influence on their supporters and fans, which can help to not only create awareness about the problem, but also have a good positive impact. For example, with the help of various celebrities the Government of India was easily able to share awareness about COVID-19 and its Vaccination. Secondly, it creates a feeling of trust in the minds of normal people that they are supporting a good cause, when a famous person is supporting a cause.

On the other hand, some believe that celebrities make the problem less important for myriad reasons. Chiefly, it is seen sometimes that some celebrities take part in these only for getting popularity and not for the cause, also sometimes these organizations main purpose is to make profit and use famous people as a marketing tool. Furthermore, some celebrities have a negative image in the society, and if they promote any cause it would not have any impact and might create a wrong impression in the minds of people.

In my profound opinion, famous people can definitely promote and draw attention to the problem if it is done in a proper way. All celebrities should try to promote some cause, but before agreeing to partner with any organization should check its credibility and background, as they should understand that many people would follow what they are doing, which is a big responsibility.

Many people nowadays do not feel safe either when they are at home or go out. What are the reasons and what can be done to solve this problem? IELTS | IELTS WRITING TASK-2

Many people nowadays do not feel safe either when they are at home or go out. What are the reasons and what can be done to solve this problem?

Feeling unsafe and vulnerable is a burning issue . It has increased at an alarming rate. It is believed that in the modern era, people across the globe feel unsafe whether they are at home or going out. Apparently, modernisation and westernisation is to be blamed for this universal phenomenon. However, the joint efforts by government and individuals can overcome this issue.

https://youtube.com/playlist?list=PL2SnntlB81YmT9uAiUwr6y_Uq5IK8VvDd

Fundamentally, there are predominant factors. First and foremost is, not only the home crimes like robbery are on a prolific rise, but also crimes committed on the streets are also on the exponential rise like snatching, hit and run cases. The reason behind this is increasing population, which in turn leads to problems like unemployment, and then youngsters turn towards these criminal activities for their daily needs. For example, according to BBC research majority of the criminal nowadays are youngsters who could not find a job and turned towards criminal activities. Secondly, the increase in crimes like home robbery make people feel unsafe to leave their house unattended or in the hands of a domestic helper, as it is seen that in most of these crimes the domestic helper is the main accomplice as they know the house very well. Thirdly, due to an increase in various deadly diseases in recent times like COVID-19 and its variants, people feel very risky to go out in public and also to call people at their homes.

Nevertheless, there are potential ways to curb this menace. Chiefly, government should try to create new jobs and also give education so youngsters can earn a living and not take the path of crime, also the government should make the laws as such that people will think twice before committing the crime. For instance, according to a report published in Forbes Magazine crime is not there or is very less in regions which are educated and employment is available. Furthermore, citizens can also help to reduce these crimes, by reporting them to the authorities as it is seen that people hesitate to report crime as they do not want to get dragged into the court proceedings. Additionally, people should get vaccinated and follow all the guidelines given for the diseases, doing this will make them feel safe to go out.

To recapitulate, people should not feel unsafe going out or at home,  if proper care is taken there is no possibility of anything to happen. Also no one is born a criminal, the circumstances make them choose that path, hence government should make all the efforts to help youngsters not go towards crime.

Some people say that the only reason for learning foreign language is for travel and working in a foreign country.Others say that these are not the only reasons why someone should learn a foreign language. Discuss both views and give your opinion ? IELTS | IELTS WRITIN TASK-2

Some people say that the only reason for learning foreign language is for travel and working in a foreign country.Others say that these are not the only reasons why someone should learn a foreign language. Discuss both views and give your opinion ?

In this ultra modern epoch, having the ability to speak a foreign language has it own set of benefits. However , there are predominantly two contrasting views where a section of society vehemently deems that knowledge of a foreign language is only beneficial for working overseas and travelling while other emphasises that being bi-lingual is a contributing factor in several aspects of life.

Apparently, various factors make a section of people advocate that learning a foreign language has substantial contribution in travelling and have many reasons to substantiate it. First and foremost, not only people  are migrating to different countries  for better professional opportunities , but also having prior knowledge of the language can help them to land better career aspects. To vindicate , according to BBC research it has been found that Students from South Asia have better job opportunities as they have compulsory secondary language in their curriculum. Secondly, unlike the bygone days, in the modern era, globalisation has left a deep impact on the economy and it has become a necessity for professionals to learn a new language in order to thrive in their profession. Thus, having a knowledge of a foreign language has paramount significance in the professional life.

Nevertheless, some people believe that having a knowledge of foreign language has hosts of ostensible factors for myriad reasons.Chiefly, many programmes require learning a second language compulsorily and it helps them to understand and appreciate different cultures. To corroborate , according to Forbes magazine it has been revealed that Ming Ho a Chinese national who has become a multi-millionaire due to his knowledge of English. Furthermore, is it beneficial for everyone learning a new language. Certainly Yes,A language is tacitly a medium of expression. However, of late, it has started linking different regions into a one. We can use a new language to make friends from different regions and learn about a whole new culture.

In my profound opinion, although professional and students are benefitted considerably from learning a foreign language Yet one can acquire the knowledge of new language and open new doors of opportunities.

More and more people are seriously becoming overweight , some people say that increase in the price of these fattening food will solve this problem . To what extent do you agree or disagree ? IELTS | IELTS WRITING TASK-2

More and more people are seriously becoming overweight , some people say that increase in the price of these fattening food will solve this problem . To what extent do you agree or disagree ?

It is an undeniable fact that obesity is a burning issue across the world and has detrimental effects on the health. It is often argued that a surge in the cost of fast food can help to curb this menace. However, I firmly disagree with this notion.

Apparently, hiking the heavy food price would not benefit considerably for myriad reasons. First and Foremost, not only fast food is instant option to eat especially for working professionals , but also provides a change from staple food. To corroborate , according to BBC research it has been found that 70 % of working population in USA are dependent on outside food as their primary meals. Secondly, Unlike healthy food, fast foods have unique taste which compels people to consume them at unprecedented scale. Thus, only increasing the price of the food items is not a solution.

Furthermore, prudence will prevail if government would organise campaign to spread awareness among people regarding dismal consequences of fattening food on our health. To vindicate, according to Forbes magazine it has been found that plethora of MNC’s organise marathons for employees to keep them active. Furthermore, curative measures at individual level can mitigate this grave issue such as using bicycle for short distances, in taking green vegetables and avoid glueing to screens.

To recapitulate, although fast foods taste better and are low-cost alternative Yet merely increasing the price is not an appropriate solution and individuals have to choose healthy alternatives in order to lead a healthy life.
