Many young people regularly change their job over the years. What are the reasons for this? Do the advantages outweigh the disadvantages? IELTS | IELTS WRITING TASK-2

Many young people regularly change their job over the years. What are the reasons for this? Do the advantages outweigh the disadvantages?

Indubitably, jobs are fundamental to earn a living. It is believed that young employees often switch their job roles or companies at an unprecedented scale. Apparently, various factors breed its popularity. However, even though this practice brings about a mixed bag of both boon and bane, advantages outshine the disadvantages.

Fundamentally, the predominant factors that evidently trigger it can be observed. To begin with, not only switching between the companies is a host of ostensible factor for better job opportunities, but also it has a substantial contribution in getting a higher-than-average salary. To substantiate, as per the report from Bloomberg, various employees who switch between their jobs end up getting an appraisal of 40% than their current salary. Secondly, unlike people who work in the same work environment, people who are continuously between the different types of jobs reap the benefits of acquiring the job that is best accustomed to their requirements and career aspirations.

Nevertheless, in my profound opinion, pros outshine cons. On the brighter side, if employees switch between their jobs, they will get in contact with new people which is a key factor influencing strong social network. To corroborate, as per the National Post, 89% of the people that get multiple job offers is through their network or references. Furthermore, does it improve their overall health? Certainly, yes. Since, nowadays employees keep switching between their careers and do not feel they have to stick to one task which would lead to a monotonous life. People can change their careers at any phase of their life and can be paid for the skill sets. On the darker side, it entails detrimental ramifications. Job hoping could lead to its potential problem of an unstable lifestyle for both the individual and their family. There could be financial constraints and migrating from one city to the other always have its repercussions on the younglings.

To conclude, earning a financially sound income and having a blissful life is a basic requirement of every citizen which could be achieved by working in different work cultures. Needless to state, advantages massively tide over the disadvantages.
