 In some countries, the difference in age between parents and children is greater than in the past. Do you think the advantages of this development outweigh the disadvantages?



Indubitably  people born in different ages are different from each other in various aspects. It is often argued in many nations that the age gap between parents and their offspring is getting wider as compared to the bygone era. However, even though this practice brings about a mixed bag of boon and bane, demerits outshine merits.

Apparently, generation gap entails myriad detrimental ramifications. First and foremost, not only does it create the misunderstandings between parents and their children ,but also leads to communication gap for various discussion of topics. To Vindicate, according to the BBC research the demands for expensive technological gadgets is escalating, the parents refuse to buy and hence 20% of the conflicts are being observed  in the family. Secondly, unlike the bygone days when people used to eat healthy food and stay proactive throughout the  day, these days millennials are becoming lethargic and acquire slow pace to react in a critical situation. Seemingly, With the advent of television and movies, young people are exposed to cultural influences alien to their own families and cultures. Thirdly, does giving birth to a child only makes a person parent? Certainly no, with age comes maturity and the sense of nurturing for a child, as there are several responsibilities to tackle. Thus, areas of difference are Attitudes toward different races and groups, Moral values, Religious beliefs, Respect for others, Political views, Work ethic

Nevertheless, disparity among progenitor and their younglings  hold constructive benefit. Chiefly, if the parents who take time to build their careers have high standard of living and subsequently can provide luxurious benefits to their young ones. To corroborate, a BBC research proved that parents who were well settled could bond better with their children. Hence, a significant age gap between elders and their kids will give good benefit and a wealthy lifestyle.

To recapitulate, although this trend have dismal consequences  leading to the uncommon interest between elder people and youngsters yet there are certain constructive benefits for the same. Needless to state, demerits tide over merits.
