Some scientists believe that computers will become more intelligent than human beings. Some people find it as a positive development while others think it is a negative development. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

It is undeniable fact that technology of computer, tablets and laptops has grown by leaps and bounds over a past decades. It is believed that in coming years it will be more intellectual than homo sapiens. However, there are predominantly two contrasting views where a section of society vehemently deems that it holds wide range of constructive benefits. while others emphasize it is destructive.
Apparently, various factors make a section of people advocate that artificial intelligence will be vastly smarter than humans and would overtake the human race which is a promising development and has various reasons to substantiate it. First and foremost, not only it has already found its way into numerous aspects of our day-to-day lives, including text, image and speech recognition, but also translation tools, smartphone with a facial recognition feature or communicate with chatbots or intelligent voice assistants such as Siri and Alexa. To vindicate, according to the BBC research 80% of the daily tasks in the offices have been made easy by the introduction of MS Office in computers. Secondly, unlike the bygone days, the first semi-autonomous vehicles are already on the roads. Thanks to a steady increase in available data, continuously improving algorithms and increasingly efficient computers, AI has become more and more powerful in recent decades. In many areas, AI has already surpassed the capabilities of human beings. Strong AI is differentiated by the ability to transfer knowledge and skills from one environment to another and to make decisions in a variety of contexts, even unfamiliar ones. A virtual assistant with strong AI would be able to predict our needs without first receiving instructions.

Nevertheless, some people opine that this development has myriad detrimental ramifications. Chiefly, if people are being replaced by the machines or technological gadgets, there would be a prominent rise in the unemployment rate in the industries. To Corroborate, according to the BBC research, it has been proved that 20% unemployment rate gradually increased by the introduction of computers in the workplace. Besides, does the computed work always assist the companies? Certainly no, a small or minute error in the system can lead to a devastating effect in an organization. Therefore, the enhancement can lead to potential problems.

In my profound  opinion, although computers possess a powerful ability to accomplish new assignments yet the development for these  can have dismal consequences on the mankind. Needless to state, computers reach our level of intelligence, they will soon surpass us. After all, they would immediately have enormous advantages when it comes to certain resources – including memory, the ability to multitask and a knowledge base that theoretically includes all of the information the Internet has to offer. Because of these advantages, computers will be able to produce much more in-depth decision-making heuristics and statistics than the human brain. In other words, our brains are limited by biology, whereas the computing systems of the future are not subject to such limitations, at least in theory. intelligent machines should serve the needs of human beings, and not the other way around.
