These days more fathers stay at home and take care of their children while mothers go out to work. What could be the reasons for this? Do you think it is a positive or a negative development? IELTS WRITING TASK-2

These days more fathers stay at home and take care of their children while mothers go out to work. What could be the reasons for this? Do you think it is a positive or a negative development?

Indubitably, being a caregiver is of paramount significance to ensure wellbeing and overall development of younglings. It is quite evident that nowadays while women are working and pursuing their career, men have stood up to be stay at home dads. Apparently, various factors breed this popularity. However, it is a constructive trend.

Fundamentally, the predominant factors that evidently trigger it can be observed. To begin with, not only society is gradually moving away from being patriarchal, but also women are being empowered at an unprecedented scale. To substantiate, as per the survey by National Post, nearly 83% of the mothers are in the workforce. Secondly, unlike traditional times when most of the women were the homemakers and predominant caregivers of their children, in the modern times it is a pragmatic decision to reverse roles if husbands have lower earning potential and their wives are earning more to diminish the financial burden.

Nevertheless, I find the trend positive for multifarious reasons. Chiefly, if fathers share parenting responsibilities, there will be a significant rise in work-life balance in such families. To corroborate, as per BBC report, 91% children are more academically and emotionally nurtured in the houses that share responsibilities equally. Furthermore, does it promote gender equality? Certainly, yes. Since, both men and women challenge the stereotypical norms of the society. There is a paradigm shift towards the gender-neutral roles.

Suffix to say, the trend of fathers being stay at home dads is changing the dynamics in the society and is offering opportunities for parental involvement. Henceforth, in my opinion, it is a promising development which should be continued in our ever-evolving world.

When a new town is planned, it is more important to develop public parks and sports facilities than shopping centers for people to spend their free time in. Give your opinion ? | IELTS WRITING TASK-2

When a new town is planned, it is more important to develop public parks and sports facilities than shopping centers for people to spend their free time in. Give your opinion ?

Indubitably, construction of new infrastructure is the backbone of a developing country. It is often argued that for individuals to utilize their leisure time, building parks and stadiums are extremely crucial unlike shopping centers. Nonetheless, in my contention, both play an equal role.

Apparently, parks and playgrounds hold wide range of constructive benefits. First and foremost, not only they are a contributing factor in adding a scenic beauty to the town, but also they are considered as the natural source of open air and oxygen. To corroborate, as per research by National Post, 88% people who spend most of their time outdoors or perform a physical activity in fresh air are healthy. Secondly, unlike shopping malls that do not promote healthy lifestyle, municipal parks and fitness centres act as a healthier option for an evening/morning walk for individuals to spend their leisure time. Thus, individuals can reap the benefits of concourse for overall physical and mental fitness.

Nevertheless, shopping arenas hold paramount significance for myriad reasons. Chiefly, if people visit for shopping, they will derive benefit of retail therapy and will promote a social lifestyle which is not only happening but extremely lively. To vindicate, as per BB report, 78% of people who go out for shopping as their leisure activity over the weekends show lower signs of stress and depression. Furthermore, does it promote economic growth? Certainly, yes. Since, it leads to a prolific increase in the job opportunities for both the teenagers and adults. Also, there is an exponential rise in the tax revenue which is further utilized for public welfare.

To recapitulate, while outdoor sports club and parks are extremely important for the healthier lifestyle, shopping precinct are of paramount significance for the recreational activities. Henceforth, both should be considered equally important, while planning to build a small city.

IELTS writing task-2 | People aim to achieve a balance between their work and lives, but few people achieve it. What are the causes of this problem? How to overcome it?

People aim to achieve a balance between their work and lives, but few people achieve it. What are the causes of this problem? How to overcome it?

Indubitably, work-life imbalance is a pressing issue. It has increased at an alarming rate. It is believed that of many, there a couple of people who manage to attain work-life balance. Apparently, demanding work culture and high expectations are to be blamed for this phenomenon. However, joint efforts by organizations and individuals can overcome this situation.

Fundamentally, the predominant factors that evidently trigger it can be observed. To begin with, not only people have over-achieving goals and mindset, but they also end up working in an environment that demands overtime which wreak havoc on them. To corroborate, as per Bloomberg, 87% of the employees work beyond their routine 8 hours paid job. Secondly, unlike old times when it was merely impossible to connect with people post their working hours, in the modern times, due to the advancement in technology everyone is just a call or a text message away. Most of the employees have official applications like Outlook, MS Teams, WhatsApp for Business, etcetera installed in their personal phones which keeps them deviated from their personal time and space.

Nevertheless, there are potential ways to curb the menace. Chiefly, if organizations set official policies to not allow employees work during their unofficial hours, this could lead to a significant decrease in their over-time hours, and they could reap the benefits of higher productivity. To vindicate, as per Toronto post, 89% of employees who work beyond their regular hours have lower productivity and show an exponential rise in the mental or physical illness. Furthermore, does it not fall upon individuals to set their priorities? Certainly, yes. Since, people need to understand the paramount significance of family and loved ones in this fast-paced world. Also, they need to manage their time well to cope up with the workload and professional burden.

Suffix to say, society must take curative measures to prevent the problem from deteriorating further. Although a myriad of partial fixes exists for this issue yet a permanent solution is still out of reach.

Big businesses have large budgets for marketing and promotion and as a result people gravitate towards buying their products. what problems is this causing? what can be done to encourage people to buy local produce? IELTS | IELTS writing task-2

Big businesses have large budgets for marketing and promotion and as a result people gravitate towards buying their products. what problems is this causing? what can be done to encourage people to buy local produce?

Advertisement is the heart of the trade. It is the key to modern business. It is often argued that people are inclined to buy products form famous brands since they are well advertised. Apparently, it begets harrowing upshot on society. However, the collaborative efforts by government and an individual can help overcome this perennial issue.

Fundamentally, it entails myriad detrimental ramifications. Chiefly, not only local vendors suffer loss at a large scale, but also it combats the employment opportunities in the market. To corroborate, according to BBC research, there has been exponential rise in the percentage of local shops which closed down in the market due to incurring losses at an unprecedented scale. Secondly, unlike the bygone days, in this day and age, having only big companies in the market to sell the products creates monopoly in the market which has a paramount significance in creating disbalance in the nation. Thus, the big brands setup the prices on their own and sell products at a much higher price.

Nevertheless, there are potential ways to curb this menace. First and foremost, successive governments should not only give financial assistance to the local shopkeepers, but also their shops and products should be well advertised by letting them put postures on the buses, trains, and other means of public transport. To illustrate, there has been a prolific increase in the sales of handcraft and pearl jewellery in Philippines since their government promoted the local business by giving them finance and tax incentives. Secondly, if the local vendors can give discounts and offers to people, their sales will increase by leaps and bounds. Seemingly, this will encourage people to buy their products.

To recapitulate, although local shopkeepers suffer due to luring customers by big companies yet prudence will prevail if a concerted efforts by both an individual and government is taken to check the menace.

Some countries achieve international sports by building specialised facilities to train top athletes, instead of providing sports facilities that everyone can use. Do you think this is positive or negative development? You should write at least 250 words.

It is undeniable fact that international sporting events

contribute greatly to fostering harmony and stability on a global scale. It is often argued that many nations win these events by providing special training to top players, rather than giving same facilities to everyone. However, in my opinion, it is constructive as well as destructive approach.

Apparently, exlusive training to deserving sports players hold a wide range of benefits. Firstly, it not only increases the chance to win ,but also bring other benefits to the country as well as player. For example, the Indian Sports Association revealed, after the implementation of special training programmes to the best players, increased the winning rate to a great extent and enhanced international relations with other nations. Moreover, it reduces the financial burden on government, especially on the developing ones. For instance, in India, there are more than 1 million players at international levels, if government provide expensive training to all these players, the economy of the country get impacted adversely and would have catastrophic repercussions such as dire poverty and hunger across the country.

On the other hand, it has various negative effects. Chielfly, the players, who are at their developing stage, might pratice long hours without using proper techniques and loose their moral to continue, as they find no improvement in their performance. Furthermore, it exacerbate the hardship of player who belongs to low socio-econoic status. For example, unlike rich player, the poor depends on government's support for his training and expensive sports equipment. If statutory bodies do not support these players at the initial stage , the chances of becoming top player to reap the benefit of special training, would not be possible.

To recaptulate, although it has positive side, its negative side cannot be ignored. By managing the fund allocated wisely can help all the players equally.

In some parts of the world it is becoming popular to research history of one's own family. Why might people want to do this? Is it a positive or negative development? IELTS | IELTS WRITING TASK-2

In some parts of the world it is becoming popular to research history of one's own family. Why might people want to do this? Is it a positive or negative development?

Indubitably, history allows humans to understand the past and how it forms our present. In the contemporary world, there is an emerging curiosity among the people to explore their family history. Apparently, the governmental initiatives and the migration of individuals to other nations are the primary reasons to be considered. However, I believe this trend is highly beneficial for the society.

Fundamentally, the predominant factors that trigger it can be observed. To begin with, unlike native people, non-natives may have to suffer from bullying or isolation because of their unique cultural practices or appearance. To combat these situations, people delve into their generational history to come up with some valuable insights to prove their values as important as others. Moreover, the growing awareness campaigns on inclusive practices all over the world motivate individuals to know more about their past. As revealed by the Aboriginal Association of Australia, since the adoption of cultural inclusivity practices as a mandatory part of the educational curriculum in the childcare sector, the children have become more inclined towards their family values and started to explore more about their traditions.

Nevertheless, there is a wide range of constructive benefits to this phenomenon. First, knowledge of family history not only imbibes moral values but also makes the world a better place to live in. According to a survey conducted by the Social Welfare Association (SWA) in Australia, families who value their family traditions, take care of their elderly as their responsibility, despite the hassles of their life. Secondly, it might reveal the hidden treasures of every culture. Ayurveda, the Indian traditional medical practice, solved various modern medical problems.

In conclusion, the government’s efforts to restore the traditions of different cultures benefited society in numerous ways.

OR

Indubitably, family is a group of one or more parents and their children living together as a unit. It is believed that across the globe it has become conspicuous to investigate the background of their ancestors. Apparently, various factors breed its popularity. However, in my profound opinion, it entails detrimental ramifications.

Fundamentally, the predominant factors that evidently trigger it can be observed. First and foremost, not only
it provides a strong sense of connection to the past, comprehending communities understand where they come from and how their family history has shaped their identity ,but also patrons can gain awareness of hereditary diseases within their family, enabling them to take early curative measures and prolifically increase their chances of living longer. Secondly, unlike neglecting, by exploring their origins, dwellers can adopt valuable techniques and avoid repetitive mistakes. On top of that, it aids in the preservation of cultural and familial career traditions, which can be enriching and educational for future generations at an unprecedented scale.

Nevertheless, I find this trend negative for numerous reasons. Chiefly, if people learn about their origin, it can lead to racial issues as people only want to interact with those from the same race or background.

Increase in the production of consumer goods result in damage to the natural environment. What are the causes of this? What can be done to solve this problem? IELTS WRITING TASK-2 | IELTS

Increase in the production of consumer goods result in damage to the natural environment. What are the causes of this? What can be done to solve this problem?

Indubitably, human wants and needs are continuously evolving and expanding, and there is no end to them. It is believed that the exponential rise in the production of consumer goods has resulted in detrimental ramifications on the environment at an unprecedented scale. Apparently, modernization and industrialization are to be blamed for this universal phenomenon. However, coercive steps can be taken by the successive governments, industries and individuals can overcome this menace.

Fundamentally, there are various factors that contribute to environmental damage. First and foremost, not only the excessive use of natural resources is a factor influencing environmental harm due to increased consumer goods production, but also host of ostensible factors, such as the improper disposal of waste, the use of non-renewable energy sources, and the overuse of pesticides and fertilizers in agriculture. To vindicate, according to a recent research, it has been revealed that the overabundant application of these chemicals result in soil and water contamination, which  have catastrophic repercussions on ecosystems and public health. Secondly, unlike the manufacturing of consumer goods, the transportation of these goods to market and their disposal after use also have dismal consequences, including greenhouse gas emissions and landfill waste. Thus, it is of paramount significance to adopt a more sustainable approach to production and consumption to minimize these adverse effects.

Nevertheless, there are predominant measures that can be taken to address this grave issue. Chiefly,
if individuals and businesses prioritize sustainability in their practices, they can have substantial contribution in mitigating environmental deterioration. To corroborate, a business can combat its negative environmental impact by enforcing energy-efficient technologies and reducing waste through recycling and composting. Individuals can also contribute by adopting sustainable habits such as using reusable bags and containers, conserving energy and water, and choosing environmentally-friendly products. Furthermore, can governments also take part in curtailing the negative impacts? Certainly, yes. Since, governments could establish regulations to limit the use of hazardous materials and ensure proper disposal of waste, and promote sustainable production methods, such as using renewable energy sources and reducing waste. Consequently, carrying out sustainable practices by individuals, businesses, and successive governments can effectively curb environmental degradation.

To conclude, although the increased production of consumer goods have harmed the natural environment yet a paradigm shift towards sustainable production methods and increased public awareness could be indispensable in diminishing these problems.
