vehemently reckon that  good nutrition is the primary reason why carrying a lunch is a better idea than shuffling through the school. Even though free lunch provided by school can save parents time and efforts, the constructive ripples of own lunch is unsurpassable.

Firstly, unlike schools weekly menu in which the meals are often repeated numerous times throughout the month, bringing lunch from home allows parent to pack different items every school day. It can be sandwiches on whole grain bread, whole wheat pasta salad, salad, leftover veggie pizza or turkey meatballs stuffed into a pita wedge. Secondly, not only a caretaker ensures to fill a child's belly with  fiber, vitamins and minerals ,but also hygienic food. If a child has allergies, the parents can customize child's diet accordingly because they know their children much better than school staff.

Thirdly, it is well said that prevention is better than cure,  bringing lunch from home have substantial contribution in managing  a child's ideal weight because being a parent you can control how many calories you want your child to intake thus, they can be prevented from chronic allergies and diseases. To substantiate, the school food tends to consist primarily of carbs and sugar which entails dismal consequences on the gradual evolvement of children.

Considering these reasons, I firmly believe it would be rewarding for children to bring their own lunch box to school. It will also relax parents knowing that their children are safe, healthy and disease free. Again, these are my personal beliefs, but I will support whatever the school decides to do.

Your apartment building is getting old, and the owners of the building are planning to do some renovations this summer. They have decided to conduct a survey to see what the tenants would like to have improved this year.

Which option would you prefer?

Option A: New paint and carpets

Option B: New elevator

From my point of view, smart elevators would have substantial contribution in terms of security which include controls such as biometrics, access control, touchscreens, and destination dispatch systems. Even though a fresh coat of paint keeps dust and other allergens to a minimum which will improve building’s air quality, the constructive ripples of new elevators is unsurpassable.

First and foremost, not only enhanced energy efficient performance is a key feature of intelligent elevator systems ,but also integrate access control features. To substantiate, The United States is the largest market for smart elevator technology and the growth is driven by strict energy efficiency requirements, growing security concerns, and increasing demand for convenience.

Secondly, unlike old elevators, the ability to conduct real-time remote monitoring and testing of lift systems on an unprecedented scale is perhaps the biggest advantage of smart elevator technology. Thirdly, it facilitates a new kind of user experience including things like integrating lift status data with your building management system for convenient monitoring and troubleshooting, or allowing people to efficiently make lift calls using a smartphone or other mobile device.

Considering these reasons, I firmly believe smart elevators are of paramount significance as it ensures safety, convenience and Increases the property value. Again, these are my personal beliefs, but I will support whatever the building management decides to do.

A research suggests that damage to the environment is an inevitable consequence of worldwide  improvements in the standard of living.

Write 150-200 words discussing whether you agree or disagree and why do you take that stance. What effects could it have if the government goes with either choice?

Option A: Support the topic.

Option B: Go against the topic.

I firmly agree to the fact that well-intended actions of human have far-reaching catastrophic ramifications on the entire ecosystem and Environment. Even though science and technology has grown by leaps and bounds over a past decade which has unquestionably transformed the nature and execution of work, the inherited downsides outshine the upsides.

First and foremost, not only contemporary lifestyle comes from non renewable sources of energy such as fossil fuels which exponentially increases the amount of air pollution, water pollution even soil pollution which conspicuously leads to the depletion of ozone layer and causes global warming ,but also domestic waste, industrial effluents which results in contamination of water bodies such as lakes, rivers, oceans precipitates to degradation of aquatic ecosystems. A study predicted that if global warming is not stopped, prime coastal cities like Mumbai, New York, etcetera will be underwater by the end of this century.

Secondly, unlike the bygone days, in the modern era, the trees are rampantly getting chopped without consideration. The prime examples of this are mass-producing furniture factories. Incontestably, there are not enough trees to satiate the oxygen supply of the planet and thousands of plants and animals lose their natural habitats and have become extinct.

Considering these reasons, I vehemently believe technology has impacted the nature adversely. Society must ensure steps are taken to prevent this grave issue from deteriorating further.

CELPIP TASK-2 | Officials in your city have an empty space and are planning to build a zoo for recreational purposes. Some residents think that the place might be used for something more complex like a shopping mall or a movie theater.

 Test Format :

Topic & Time

Writing an Email (27 min)

Survey Question (26 min

Try to write between 150 and 200 words for each writing task.

Question :

Officials in your city have an empty space and are planning to build a zoo for

recreational purposes. Some residents think that the place might be used for something

more complex like a shopping mall or a movie theater.

Write about 150-200 words defending one of the two options provided below. You

should say why you support the topic and how it would help the residents around you.

What problems are there with the other choice?

Option A: The town’s municipality should build a zoo.

Option B: The town‘s municipality should build something more complex.

Sample answer

I vehemently reckon the town’s municipality should build shopping mall or a movie theatre as it has paramount significance to the community it belongs to. Although zoo holds constructive ripples in terms of educational resource, conservation for endangered animals, economic resource yet    the multi pronged advantages of multiplex is unsurpassable.

First and foremost, not only leisure needs are manifested in the desire for a shopping experience ,but also watching movies in multiplexes, lounging and eating out. Secondly, if a businessman set up a store in a shopping mall, retail store owners can rent shop space which would be rewarding for both the businessman and the customers on an unprecedented scale

Thirdly, unlike zoological garden which exploits animals, need proper funding to meet the needs of animal population, even experts find themselves in dangerous circumstances with predatory animals, mall management organises promotional activities like events, contests, star visits, premiers and customer loyalty programs. As a result, young crowd witnessed hanging out in malls/ shopping centres as a everyday habit.

Considering these reasons, I strongly believe to have complex building as it will promote an exponential increase in demand and supply to the town which will improve tourism. Again, these are my personal beliefs, but I will support whatever state authorities decide to do.

CELPIP TASK-2 | Your city is considering building a new airport near your house. A survey is being conducted in your community to find out if the local residents support or oppose the project. If the project is approved, taxes would increase by 20% to pay for the project. The city’s mayor estimates that the project will create 5000 new jobs in the area.

Survey Question : 26 min

Your city is considering building a new airport near your house. A survey is being conducted in your community to find out if the local residents support or oppose the project. If the project is approved, taxes would increase by 20% to pay for the project. The city’s mayor estimates that the project will create 5000 new jobs in the area.

Which option do you prefer? Explain your choice.

Option A: Build the airport

Option B: Do not build the airport

SAMPLE ANSWER

I vehemently reckon that airports should be located away from residential areas in order to mitigate the extent of noise pollution. Even though the residents would reap the benefits in terms of employment opportunities, the hike in taxes would invite potential problems for a certain strata of society which cannot be ignored.

First and foremost, not only proximity to an airport is a death knell for those with respiratory conditions, but also zoning regulation are implemented near some airports to reserve the area around for commercial, industrial and retail use only which can limit the construction of child care centres and schools.

Secondly, unlike other residential sites, areas with airport has noise levels of 65 decibels which seems to be a more determining factor. Other fundamental catastrophic effects that aviation has over property value are safety, traffic and scenery.

Considering these reasons, I personally think it would be better to not build airport near house as consistently breathing in the ozone produced by the aircraft can adversely impact respiratory tissue causing emphysema and chronic bronchitis in the long run.

Thank you for giving me a chance to voice my opinion.
