 It is well known to all that the technological and scientific advances have made great changes to the range of quality of our food . Some people regard it as a improvement while other believe that the change is harmful. Discuss both views and give your opinion ?

The world has witnessed revolutionary inventions in terms of science and technology with several changes in the quality and the range of the food items that we consume. However, there are predominantly two contrasting views where a section of society vehemently deems that these changes are positive, while other emphasise that these changes have set drawbacks.


Apparently, various factors make a section of people advocate that science and technology has grown by leaps and bounds over past decade and has helped with several inventions which have altered our eating habits at an unprecedented scale. Chiefly, the way to consume and procure food items has drastically changed not only with the help of inventions such as refrigerators the food can stay fresh longer , but also retains it nutritional value. To vindicate, according to BBC research it has been revealed that native food items across the globe could be found at every supermarket nowadays with the help of swift transportation facilities. Secondly, Unlike the bygone days, in this ultra modern epoch the evolution of science and technology in the food industry have set new hygiene benchmarks which in turn helped  to enhance to devouring of these food items. Thus, with these parameters the population have benefitted considerably.

Nevertheless, some believe that the drawbacks that science and technology embarks on the food items we consume are difficult to ignore. Chiefly, It has been a common practice amongst the farmers to use several pesticides and chemicals to yield more products despite the several impacts it has on the nutritional value of the food item. To vindicate, according to Forbes magazines it has been found that 70% or fisherman use artificial feed and formalin to extend the size and shelf life of fishes . Furthermore, is reheating good in microwave is healthy? Certainly no, since it leads to chronic diseases such as cancer. Having preserved food is hazardous for health as it slow down metabolism and makes one lazy. 

To recapitulate, although food plays a vital role in the well being of an individual and the involvement of science has made a substantial contribution yet it is important for people to keep a balance between relying on the natural foods and usage of several technological advances.
