Fast food is a part of life in many places. Some people think this has bad effects in lifestyle and diet. Do you agree or disagree? Give reasons.

Indubitably,  junk food has become a part and parcel of everyone's life .It is often argued that unhealthy food results in dismal consequences on the health and life of millennial. However , I firmly agree to the given notion.
Apparently, packed food hold wild range of detrimental ramifications. First and foremost ,not only it encounters obesity as it contains saturated fat and salt, but also the less nutrients and fibre leads to high cholesterol and rise in blood pressure which can further cause cardiovascular problems . To vindicate , research by BBC revealed that there is an exponential rise in the ratio of obese in USA from a decade.  Secondary ,despite the finger licking taste of the fast-food ,it makes people lethargic as they find it easy to order fast food from outside rather than cooking at home.  Thus, people are forgetting the importance of staple food.

Furthermore , if individuals consume binge junk food,  it can lead to depression as having unhealthy diet can cause mental depression. To corroborate, as per forbes magazine,  in 2010,  45% of UK striplings faced  the problem of depression for having excessive consumption of sweets , fried food and processed meats.  Additionally, does eating junk food can affect oral health ? Certainly yes, since salt and sugar added can stick debris  to the teeth  which can cause cavity.  Hence,  everything in excess  is hazardous.

To recapitulate, although in the modern era , packed food has  become need of the hour as a strata of society is  busy earning livelihood and are left with no time to cook yet awareness should be spread about the bad repercussions of it. Needless to state, green leafy  vegetables and homemade food should be encouraged for healthy living.

The best way to protect the environment is to use local resources (eg. Food, building materials) rather than transporting resources from other places. To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement.? Ielts | ielts writing task-2

The best way to protect the environment is to use local resources (eg. Food, building materials) rather than transporting resources from other places.

To what extent do you agree or disagree with this statement.?

It is an undeniable fact that good surrounding play a paramount significant role to live a healthy life . It is often argued that ideal way to save the environment is to use a local resources in spite of importing things from abroad . However , I partially agree to the given notion.
Apparently, utilising the local resources hold wide range of constructive benefits . First and foremost , not only it will be conducive in creating employment opportunities for the local people ,but also will aid in raising the economic status of the nation.  To vindicate,  research by BBC revealed that there is an exponential rise in the economy of China from a decade  as their import ratio is very less as compared to their export. Secondly , will it be beneficial in lowering the carbon emissions emitted by transportation? Certainly yes,  since by using the local products the less transportation will take place which will curtail the pollution  and save the planet. Thus,  these are some key factor influencing to save guard the earth by using the local produced goods
.

Nevertheless, there are myriad alternatives by which we can protect the environment. Chiefly, if awareness is spread among the millennial about the car pooling and use of bicycles for short distances , there will be  decrease in air pollution. To corroborate, per forbes magazine, with use of bicycles in Switzerland the pollution has dropped at unprecedented scale from a half decade. Additionally,  unlike the bygone days , people are more aware about reducing, reusing and recycling things, so by applying these 3R's in life the culture  of throw away can be mitigated. Seemingly, there are plethora of other ways with which nature can be saved.

To recapitulate, although to save  the environment using the local resources is a promising  development yet  other ways of car pooling,  use of bicycles , reduce reuse and recycle methods are unsurpassable . Needless to state, individuals should take initiative to protect the planet.

I felt myself over the moon and satisfied with all services.
  • I enjoyed the whole tour very much and clicked on many pictures.
  • I bought clothes and some antique items.
  • I recommend this hotel to many people.

Part-3 follow up

1.

1. Do the ratings of people influence their choice?
Yes, nowadays people check the rating and reviews of the hotel before reserving any room. People who already visited the hotel can define better than the hotel management because people define the positive and negative points about the place, but management always represents good points of the place.
OR
Yes, I think most people look at hotel ratings before making a reservation. I believe it is very difficult to judge how the stay experience would be just by looking at the hotel and room pictures.

2. How do people reserve rooms?
Nowadays, many online websites are available through which people reserve their rooms. In addition to this, people who are not friendly with the internet use the telephone to reserve the hotel room or book a room when they visit the place.
OR
I think people make reservations through internet websites like Goair, Ibibo, Trivago, Oyo etcetera. Some people also make reservations through the telephone.

3. What influences people’s choice of hotels?
Many factors influence people’s choice of hotel. First and the foremost is, place, means people prefer to select those near railway stations, bus stand, or airport. Second is the transport facility. Moreover, people also check online reviews about the place. Last but essential factor is the price and other facilities such as AC, TV wife.
OR
I think many factors influence people’s choices. The two main factors are the price of the rooms and the amenities available like air conditioning, TV, locker and so on. Internet ratings and reviews are also a major consideration nowadays.

4. What’s the difference between hotels in your country and hotels abroad?

I think there no significant difference in hotels nowadays. All national and international hotels provide similar facilities to all. There is only one difference that is, building design, hotels that are in the hill station and snowy area look different from the hotel that is in plain areas.
OR
I don’t think there is any particular difference in hotels. Today, there are hotels from chains like Taj, Hilton, Marriot all over the world. The design may vary depending upon the location, for example, beaches, hillsides etcetera. But as India has all these types of locations, nearly all types of hotels are available here.

Some people think that the range of technology currently available is increasing the gap between rich people and poor people. Others think that it is causing the opposite effect. Discuss both the views and give your opinion. Ielts | ielts writing task-2

Some people think that the range of technology currently available is increasing the gap between rich people and poor people. Others think that it is causing the opposite effect. Discuss both the views and give your opinion.

It is an undeniable fact that science and technology has grown by leaps and bounds over the past decade. however, there are predominantly two contrasting views where a section of society vehemently deems that the modern technology has widen the gap between affluent and poverty ridden millennial ,while other emphasizes that it has decreased the gap.

Apparently, various factors make a section of people advocate that technology has created a large difference between wealthy and poor class and have many reasons to substantiate it.  First and foremost, not only the weaker section of society are not  able to afford the extravagance medical treatment based on the latest technology such as MRI, but also the best medicines are out of reach of their pockets due to the high cost. To vindicate ,research by BBC developed every year 40% of the poor people die of not getting proper treatment for huge expenses.  Secondly, unlike the affluent people, poor strata of society cannot reap the benefits of modern devices such as automatic washing, machines dishwashers, air conditioning  and more . Thus, there are some key factors which have increased the gap between different sections of people at unprecedented scale.

Nevertheless, some people believe that it has constrict the gap for multifarious reasons.  Chiefly , does technology benefited both poor and rich people with same facilities?  Certainly yes, by spending a small amount one can encounter with myriad internet facilities such as online shopping ,e learning, communicating and more . To corroborate, as per Forbes magazine,  there has been exponential rise in social media users from a decade.  Additionally,  if the technology is used wisely by poor people in promoting their business ,creating new operations like a  small vendor selling the food items on social apps like Zomato swiggy ,  they can make a fortune . Seemingly,  it has narrowed the gap between rich and poor people.

In my profound opinion,  different innovations in technology are serving both upper and lower class in different ways and are reducing the gap between them or resulting in opposite direction.  Needless to state , in future the range of technology will benefit all  people irrespective of their economic status.

You live with a roommate at university but you have trouble studying because of a problem related to your roommate. Write a letter to an administrator at your university and include:

Who you are

The problem

What you suggest they do

Dear Sir,

My name is Sonia. I am writing this letter to express my exceedingly displeased experience that I got after spending one month in the hostel premises with my current roommate who is creating predicament in my studies.

am pursuing M.A. in English and staying in Golden Jubilee Hostel. I grabbed first position in university entrance test. Therefore, I have got the best hostel with all the facilities provided to me.

Apparently, I am sharing the room with a girl who is doing graduation. She is in her teens so she is not mature enough. Chiefly, she not only plays loud music but also keeps using her cell phone during late hours which makes it hard for me to concentrate. Secondly, no sooner did she enter the room than she invited her friends who kept sitting in the room till 10 p.m. These stumbling blocks have catastrophic effect on my studies as I am a person who devotes her time in studies during evening hours.

Nonetheless, although I have asked her several times to mend her ways yet she does not pay heed to what I say. Therefore, I request you to either change my room or roommate as I hail from a middle class family and I cannot waste the hard earned money of my parents by staying as a paying guest. Please look into the matter and do the needful.

Hoping for quick resolution.

Yours faithfully,

Sonia

Nowadays many people with families leave their country to work abroad. Do you think the benefits of this trend outweigh disadvantages for their families? Give you opinion and include any relevant example. Ielts | ielts writing task-2

Nowadays many people with families leave their country to work abroad. Do you think the benefits of this trend outweigh disadvantages for their families? Give you opinion and include any relevant example.

Indubitably, the number of people who are moving overseas for employment is increasing at unprecedented scale. It is often argued that in contemporary era, millennial are over dependent on foreign governments to excel in their careers. However, this trend is a mixed bag of boon and bane; advantages outshine disadvantages in my contention.
Apparently, shifting abroad is an advantageous step for myriad reasons. First and foremost, it not only significantly contributes in raising the standard of living of their family members, but also a key factor influencing their assets. To corroborate, a research by BBC News has revealed that the family of the people who shift overseas for work enjoy the extravaganza of luxury more than other families. Secondly, unlike India, jobs are secure in foreign countries which make the families of the earners reap the benefits of this advantage as they can lead a life full of ecstasy. Thirdly, in foreign countries, neither relatives nor neighbors interfere in the lives of people which give the people a sense of liberty. Hence, everybody can live a life of their choice in abroad.

Nonetheless, it has detrimental effect. Although the families of people residing in foreign countries enjoy the index of happiness, they can feel isolated as the one who earns cannot extract time for one’s family which is a host of ostensible reasons behind depression. To vindicate, a research by Fobes magazine has revealed that a section of society living abroad suffers from anxiety issues because they do not get time from their offspring and miss their native land and roots. Hence, their mental health declines sharply.

To recapitulate, even though there is catastrophic repercussion of living abroad, advantages cannot be overlooked. Needless to state, advantages massively tie over disadvantages.

Bying things on the Internet, such as books, air tickets and groceries, is becoming more and more popular. Do the advantages of shopping in this way outweigh the disadvantages? Ielts | ielts writing task-2

Buying  things on the Internet, such as books, air tickets and groceries, is becoming more and more popular. Do the advantages of shopping in this way outweigh the disadvantages?

It is an undeniable fact that advancements in technology have made our life significantly easy. It is often argued that online shopping on the internet, such as home necessities, tickets, books, is becoming popular. However, even though this practice brings about is a mixed bag of both boon and bane, merits outshine demerits.

Apparently, online shopping has plenty of constructive benefits. First and foremost, not only online shopping saves a lot of time, but also it is convenient than manual shopping. For example, according to BBC research, it is revealed that 90% of people prefer to shop online because of convenient options. Secondly, e-commerce websites like Amazon provide access to almost every product in the market and they deliver those products within 1-2 days. Thus, people can purchase any product from one common portal. Thirdly, shopping websites offer heavy discounts on their products and usually, their prices are much lower than local shops and showrooms. Therefore, e-commerce companies are dominating malls and markets.

https://youtu.be/h_CWULybLnQ

On the other hand, shopping online has inherited downsides. Chiefly, in this modern era, people are completely dependent on online shopping and have forgotten to shop at local markets and malls. Thus, retailers and local shop owners have been heavily impacted by online shopping. For instance, according to Forbes Magazine, it is revealed that due to online shopping, 80% of the exporter and distributors have faced significant losses in their shopping business. Hence, online shopping is remarkably affecting the wholesaler’s business.

To conclude, online shopping has completely changed our lifestyle in many ways. However, we should not entirely depend on e-commerce websites and we need to maintain a healthy routine.

Nowadays many people choose to be self-employed, rather than to work for a company or organisation. Why might this be the case? What could be the disadvantages of being self-employed? Ielts | ielts writing task-2

Nowadays many people choose to be self-employed, rather than to work for a company or organisation. Why might this be the case? What could be the disadvantages of being self-employed?

In this contemporary era, people prefer to become their own boss. It is believed that people do not like to work for a company, rather they prefer to work for them. Apparently, modernization and westernization are to be blamed for this universal phenomenon. However, it has a negative impact on their productivity.

Fundamentally, there are predominant factors that make people to choose to be self-employed. First and foremost, not only do companies often force their employees to work for long hours, but also employees do not get enough time to spend with their loved ones. To corroborate, according to the BBC research it is revealed that 80% of the employees work for 50-60 hours a week due to workload. Secondly, numerous companies try to save their cost by paying peanuts to their employees. Hence, most of the employees are underpaid nowadays.

https://youtu.be/h_CWULybLnQ

Nevertheless, there are detrimental effects of being self-employed. To begin with, people who work on organizations and companies have a consistent flow of money every month whereas when someone is working for themselves, they might experience inconsistency in their income. Moreover, there is always a potential risk of failing in your own business or startup. For instance, according to Forbes Magazine, it is revealed that around 80% of startups fail every year due to various reasons. Therefore, being self-employed has potential downfalls.

To conclude, having your own business gives you plenty of flexibility and freedom. However, it is hard to ignore the fact that working for a company is considered a secure and reliable job.

OR

Indubitably, there  is a paradigm shift in the way of working . It is believed that in the modern era , myriad populace  prefer to work as a freelance in spite of being employed under someone . Apparently , liberty and imbalance personal life is to be blamed for this universal phenomenon. However, doing one's own business has plethora of inherited downsides.

Fundamentally,  predominant factors that evidently trigger it can be observed.  First and foremost , nowadays millennial welcome warmly to be self employed not only  to achieve freedom at the workplace,  but also to mitigate rules and regulations of the company which are to be followed like wearing the dress code , timings , targets and more that cause mental stress.  To vindicate,  according to the BBC has been revealed that restrictions in MNCs are increasing at unprecedented scale from a decade  for which of the self employment is on exponential rise. Secondly, unlike the bygone days, due to the prolific  increase in competitions among companies , employees have to work for more number of hours and do not get quality time to spend with their families which adversely effects their personal life. Thus, these are some key factors for which the millennial are preferring working independently.

Nevertheless,  being one's own boss entails multifarious detrimental repercussions.  Chiefly,  if an individual wants to start own business,  the benefits of  corporate world like health insurance PDF and more will not be reaped. To corroborate,  as Forbes magazine,  Google offers numerous perks to their employees that  cannot be encountered as self- employed. Additionally, does in working independently one gets fixed income every month?  Certainly no,  since there could be fluctuations in sales , however there is gaurantee  of a fixed pay in a job .  Seemingly , there are   multifarious dismal consequences of an entrepreneur.

To recapitulate, although strata of society is opting to be  self- independent to derive benefits such as  liberty at work and  to avoid management pressure yet drawbacks like fluctuation in monthly income and no employee schemes need to be considered prior to  setup one's own business.

Some people think that it is necessary to travel abroad to learn about other countries, but other people think that it is not necessary to travel abroad because all the information can be seen at TV and the internet. Give your own opinion?

Some people think that it is necessary to travel abroad to learn about other countries, but other people think that it is not necessary to travel abroad because all the information can be seen at TV and the internet. Give your own opinion?

It is an undeniable fact that in the modern era, the curiosity to encounter knowledge about the other nations has grown massively. However, there are two contrasting views where a section of people vehemently deems that travelling plays  a substantial contribution role in learning about the neighbouring countries , while other emphasises that everything can be acquired either online or on small screens.  However, travelling to abroad has its own pros and cons.

Apparently, visiting the foreign countries to gain information hold wide range of constructive benefits.  First and foremost, not only it will give first hand  experience of getting to know deeply about their culture,  heritage, custom  and cuisines,  but also one can make friends by communicating with natives and learning their language. To vindicate , research by BBC revealed that percentage of travellers visiting overseas has increased unprecedentedly from a decade.  Secondly, unlike the information we get on internet, millennial can get an opportunity of creating new businesses , education or settling abroad by personally visiting foreign lands .  Thus , travelling abroad to enlighten oneself have plethora of benefits.

Nevertheless, an individual can easily witnesses this on broadcast media or online for myriad reasons. Chiefly , if they travel overseas , it will add extra expenses which can be used on other inevitable things.  Incontestably, today  the whole world can be exploded by just simply clicking the mouse or remote button. To corroborate, as  per Forbes magazine,  there is an exponential rise in TV channels or social media apps such as discovery ,  global television channels and more that are available 24/7 via which an individual can learn  limitlessly . Additionally , is it possible to make virtual friends online in other Nations through internet ? certainly yes , since with the growth in technology by leaps and bounds from a last decade , striplines can interact with people across the globe on one click sitting at their home . Seemingly,  attaining knowledge about the world through small screens and  internet has myriad key factors.

To recapitulate, although in this conventional era,  to explore the world has become indispensable,  however in my contention , travelling to foreign lands has more merits  as compared to the information what we get on television or internet. Needless to state,  learning about foreign lands should be welcomed warmly.

Nowadays people use social media to keep in touch with others and be aware of news. Do the advantages of this outweigh the disadvantages?

It is an undeniable fact that the world has witnessed revolutionary invention in terms of science and technology social platform being the most prominent . It is believed that In the modern era, millennial use social media to communicate with their kith and kin as well as to keep themselves updated about what is happening across the world.  However, even though this practice brings about a mixed bag of boon and bane, merits  outshine demerits.
Apparently, interactive media holds a wide range of constructive benefits . First and foremost, not only it is much cheaper to interact with others through social apps such as zoom WhatsApp , Google meet and more , but also it has cut apart geographical boundaries. To vindicate, recent research by BBC revealed that the usage of video calls have grown unprecedentedly from a decade. Secondly, unlike the bygone days, the use of printed material has reduced for which less number of trees are cut down for paper making as majority of people are assessing the news through electronic media. On top of that, does an individual can read the news on gadgets and communicate with others while travelling?  Certainly yes, science and technology has grown  by leaps and bounds and with just one single click news is available and one can talk to others while traveling. Needless to say,  that one should use everything in limit . Merits massively tide over its demerits.

You have joined a sports club recently. You are having some problems. Write to the manager and include this information.

1) What you liked

2) Tell your problems

3) Give solutions

Dear sir,

I am William. I am writing this letter to express my exceedingly displeased experience pertaining to my visit to your esteemed sports centre.

I paid visit to your well maintained sports premises yesterday. Arrangement for playing both indoor and outdoor games is fantabulous. Not only Infrastructure is up to the mark ,but also there is cleanliness all around. I like the token system as well which lessens the crowd at the center.

Apparently, I want to throw light on certain issues that I have faced yesterday. Chiefly, the door of changing room does not close properly.  Secondly, there is no proper lighting for night games. Thirdly, unlike other sports centres in the city, this is not incorporated with any measures to battle severe weather conditions.

https://youtube.com/shorts/bjADclM2jeo?feature=share

Nonetheless, I would like to suggest you to get the door of changing room fixed as soon as possible. Adequate lighting arrangements should be done for night players. In order to avoid any catastrophic incident, install reliable lighting detection system. It will not only provide the sportspersons all the facilities, but also significantly contribute to the fame of complex.

Hoping to seeing the center again with all the issues rectified.

Yours faithfully,

William

In spite of the advances made in agriculture, many people around the world still go hungry. Why is this case ? What can be done about this problem? Ielts | ielts writing task-2

In spite of the advances made in agriculture, many people around the world still go hungry. Why is this case ? What can be done about this problem?

In this modern era, hunger is a burning issue and plenty of countries are facing this issue. It is believed that, despite having advancement in the agriculture sector, most of the people around the world still go hungry. Apparently, modernization and westernization are to be blamed for this universal phenomenon. However, joint efforts of the government and individuals can overcome this issue.

Fundamentally, there are predominant factors that cause hunger. First are foremost, not only do people in developing countries face the problem of poverty, but also developed nations are also facing poverty these days. Thus, it became exhausting for people to afford food. For example, according to the BBC research, it is revealed that poverty is the most predominant factor that causes hunger in people. Secondly, the earth’s temperature is significantly changing due to global warming, and tons of food got decay every year. Therefore, lack of food and money are causing hunger.

https://youtu.be/h_CWULybLnQ

Nevertheless, there are potential ways to tackle this complication of hunger. Chiefly, farmers should directly sell their food to the consumers, rather than selling it to brokers. Since brokers sell food to the customers at sky-rocketing prices and due to this reason, it becomes a nightmare for poor people to buy food. Additionally, the government should take strict actions regarding global warming and bring down heavy taxes on food. Consequently, poor people will be able to afford food.

To conclude, food is an essential part of a human’s life and it is vital to take proper diet for every individual to stay healthy. Thus, the government should take measures to make food available to everyone in their country.
