 In some countries, there has been an increase in the number of parents who educate their children themselves at home instead of sending them to school. Do you think the advantages of this overweigh the disadvantages?

Indubitably,  education plays a paramount significant role in everyone's life as it has it's  own substantial contribution in the cognitive  development of a child. It is believed that in some nations , the ratio of guardians  are preferring homeschooling in spite  of sending striplings to attend  academic institutes is increasing unprecedentedly.  However, even though this practice brings about a mixed bag of both boon and bane, demerits outshines merits. 

Apparently,  it entails myriad detrimental ramifications. First and foremost,  not only the youngones miss the opportunity to socialize with others in schools and make friends , but also lacks indispensable traits like confidence and teamwork.  Secondly,  does practical knowledge is absent in home schooling ? Certainly yes,  as it is ticklish  to arrange the material required to perform the practicals at home due to its high cost. To vindicate, according to BBC, it has been revealed that the students face dismal consequences at the time of getting jobs as they lack the practical knowledge which is mandatory to achieve a better job. Yet another , despite the fact that learners reap the benefit from the plethora of books at home and get the parental support, the competition spirit is not present , since they do not get a chance to participate in competitions in schools. Thus,  these are some catastrophic effects of studying at home. 

Nevertheless, it holds a constructive benefit. Unlike schooling, studying at home due to its flexibility and personalized education as they can work at their own pace and time ,under the guidance of the personal tutor who focus on the weakness of one child at one time.  To corroborate, as per forbes magazine,  amid covid pandemic, there is an exponential rise in learners who left schools and opted for homeschooling to cope up  their own speed.  Seemingly,  it is preferred by most of the parents in the modern era.

To recapitulate, although  there is a prolific increase in guardians who choose  for schooling at home yet academic institutes are inevitable  as children learn plethora of skills such as communication and management . Needless to state , education is the only valuable asset that human can achieve.  Home schooling demerits massively tide over its merits.
