These days people are using the Internet for shopping, work and to communicate with others without the need for face to face meetings. Do the advantages of this development outweigh its disadvantages?

It is an undeniable fact that there is a paradigm shift in the way of living. It is believed that in the modern era, millennials prefer to shop, work and communicate online without meeting in person. However, even though this practice brings about a mixed bag of boon and bane, merits outshines demerits. 

Apparently, Internet holds wide range of constructive benefits. First and foremost, not only it is welcomed warmly by all strata of society since they are busy earning their livelihoods and shopping through internet saves their time and one can purchase anything 24/7, but also there are plethora of online sites available to shop like myntra, amazon and more which gives huge discounts. To vindicate, according to BBC, the ratio of electronic shopping has increased at unprecedented scale from a decade. Secondly, unlike the bygone days , there is flexiblilty for  employees as they can work easily at their own pace  from home through apps like zoom and Google meet. Thereby, it is a key factor for maintaining a balance between private and professional life. Yet another, does online communication has cut apart geographical boundaries?  Certainly yes, people can talk to kith and kin on a single click by sending messages, doing audio and video calls at a cheaper price. Thus, it has paramount significance in our lives. 

Nevertheless, it entails detrimental ramification. If individuals use binge these platforms, it can lead to fradulance of misusing their credit and debit cards. To corroborate, per Forbes magazine, there is an exponential rise by 49 percent on electronic frauds. Seemingly, massive use of this can have dismal repercussions on populace. 

To recapitulate, although online shopping , work and communication have it's own inherited downsides, it's constructive ripples in terms of time saving and flexiblilty are unsurpassable . Needless to state, one should use everything in limit. Internet merits massively tides over its demerits.
