In the modern era, business has paramount significant role in the development of economy of any country. However, there are two contrasting views where a section of society deems that International trade and culture exchange extremely beneficial while other emphasis that it may affect the nation’s unique characteristics. 

Apparently, various factors make a section of people advocate that global business has substantial contribution in the nation’s development and have many reasons to substantiate it. First and foremost, not only international market provide global opportunity to sell the products, but also there are higher chances of getting high selling price. To vindicate, as per article published by Forbes Magazine, it has been revealed that 70% manufacturers has keen interest in international trade due to better platform for both product selling as well as market value of product. Secondly, unlike the regional market, the international market not only help to sell the goods, but also a medium to learn the global fashion and culture.

Nevertheless, some believe that international business may have detrimental ramifications on a particular country’s identity for myriad reasons. Chiefly, if imported products gain popularity, local and traditional product May face adverse repercussions due to low demand. To corroborate, per BBC research, it has been revealed that 30% of local manufacturers shut down their units owing to considerably low sale of products. Furthermore, is there any catastrophic effect on identity of a nation ? Certainly yes, some countries have distinct identity due to local food and products but exponentially selling of international products effect this uniqueness on an unprecedented scale. Henceforth, this paradigm shift may bring potential problems.

In my profound opinion, global trade hold wide range of constructive benefits in terms of money and vast market, it’s inherited downsides can not be overlooked. Needless to state, there should always be a balance between international and local product so that culture can be preserved.
