PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE. Do you agree or disagree that out of the country’s health budget, a large proportion should be diverted from treatment to spending on health and education and preventive measures? IELTS | IELTS WRITING TASK-2

PREVENTION IS BETTER THAN CURE. Do you agree or disagree that out of the country’s health budget, a large proportion should be diverted from treatment to spending on health and education and preventive measures?

Indubitably, mammoth rise in severe diseases created destructive ripples in the society. It is often argued that the part of financial blue print of regime should be deflected towards the protective steps from medicament. However, I firmly agree with the given notion.

Apparently, educating spanning generations would bring constructive benefits to the society. First and foremost, not only preventive measures can bring a paradigm shift in our lifestyle in terms of eating healthy, but also it prepares the human brain to fight against deadly diseases. For instance, In early 1981 the first case of HIV was found in USA afterwards medical research escalated it as incurable but USA governments took extreme prevention steps by implementing educational courses and numerous video films significantly brought awareness amongst people and eventually it was found that 80% reduction in cases after their immense efforts. Secondly, unlike the bygone days, in the modern era successive government take preventive actions on fatal condition which helps individual to suppress or to stop the progression of the syndrome as well as it stimulates to control the spreading of ailment. Hence, health care organization of countries must spend more time on a campaign and seminars in order to reduce illness which results in lower cost needed for medication.

Thirdly, prudence will prevail if authorities channelise more in aid-caring institutes in order to raise sanitation awareness. To cite an example,Malaria ,which causes a lot of fatalities in certain countries has been wiped out from the developed countries. Furthermore, if the majority of the workforce of a nation is unable to perform efficiently due to health issues, the country faces a huge loss of income which is far greater than the amount they could spend on preventing those diseases. Thereby, budget should be spent more on proactive measures than on reactive ones.

Suffice to say, although prevention is the best tool to cure any menace yet government should be in progressing mode of spending money on rare diseases ailments.
