It is commonly believed that nowadays main factors that affect a child's development are media, pop culture and friends. A different point of view is that family plays the most significant role. Discuss both views and give your opinion.

In the modern era, a child’s upbringing has paramount significance for their holistic development. However, there are predominantly two contrasting views where a section of society vehemently deems that media, pop culture and peer group are fundamental for child’s  development while other emphasises that family being the biggest institution is a contributing factor.

Apparently, various factors make a section of people advocate that the key factors influencing child’s  growth are media, pop culture  and companions and have many reasons to substantiate it. First and foremost, not only Cartoon such as, Shin Chan which is an anime and originally created purely for elderly people is often dubbed in vernacular languages for youngsters in their tender age which they try to imitate and  is  Inappropriate in social gathering ,but also pop culture which is known as hippy culture like baggy and tattered jeans, loose clothes, body tattoos and piercing drifts which is common for a child to come under the influence of this pop culture to use slangs and curse words in almost every conversation. To vindicate, according to BBC research it is revealed that a child may get involved with alcohol and drugs as shown in pop song videos or posters. Secondly, unlike family, a youngster under the influence of peer group take extremes steps which has dismal consequences on their gradual evolvement.

Nevertheless, some believe that parents are the true heroes for their children for myriad reasons. Chiefly, if a child is purely based on the upbringing by the family,  he/she will be morally scrupulous. To corroborate, according to Forbes Magazine, youngsters who were inculcated with moral and cultural values have no criminal record. Furthermore, are parents torchbearer for their offspring’s? Certainly yes, since they are aware of their strengths and weakness, they help them to choose right career.

In my profound opinion, although families are the only institution in this society which either introduces any culture to their child or can give them controlled access to other culture and media platform which have greater significance on the childs development yet media update then with latest trends.
