You are working in a company offering IT services. Your company is conducting survey to know ways to improve working environment. There are two options -
Job satisfaction survey:
Option A : Give a salary hike to all the employees on the basis of experience
Option B : Give a salary hike to all the employees on the basis of educational qualification
I vehemently reckon to exponentially rise salary of all the employees on the grounds of work experience. Even though highly qualified employee has substantial contribution in a company's growth, the paramount significance of work experience in terms of understanding how organizations work is unsurpassable.
Firstly, not only an experienced employee have self-understanding, maturity, independence and self-confidence ,but also have a better understanding of how the organization can comprehend young people for work. AlthoughQualifications indicate that you have the depth quintessential knowledge for your profession, experience proves that you have practiced working in your field. To substantiate, industries, such as construction, prefer someone with practical experience and reliable work history. Secondly, unlike a fresher, an experienced one may be able to start work faster with no need for lengthy training as they are proficient in their respective forte thus deserves respectable salary hike.
Thirdly, until recently, employers are less intrigued towards the degrees, and focus more on experience. Experience depicts both candidates can work well in teams, alone, under pressure, be punctual, loyal and their ability to adapt and achieve in a real-life work environment and employees drive business to new heights , so if their income impacts their stability in some way, that's going to impact their productivity. That means their salary is directly proportionate to company's success.
Considering these reasons, I firmly believe that experienced employees should have above average salaries. Again, these are my personal beliefs, but I will support whatever the management decides to do.
