Radio will no longer be able to hold its
presence as television and Internet media will replace it very soon. Do you
agree or disagree?
SAMPLE ANSWER: It is an undeniable fact, that radio was
considered the Predominant factor for source of information. It is often argued
that television and Internet media will take over shortly. However, I strongly
disagree with the given notion.
Apparently, Radio holds wide range of constructive
benefits. To begin with, In present times, Radio is found all over the world,
even in the lesser developed countries where you can see television has not yet
come. In those countries, Radio has Substantial contribution to the society of
people. For example, if you are travelling long drive, you can easily listen to
radio for songs, latest news and weather report also. Secondly, Radio provides
free information to the public but when we consider television and internet
media where people have to pay for channels and application. Thirdly, in this
ultra modern epoch, Every people has a gadget to listen radio, The BBC
survey showed that 60% of people working on construction field and night
workers listen to radio while working.
Furthermore, there are some main reasons that radio is not
losing it's demand in this modern era, there is a significant
rise for television and other electronic gadgets also. Though people can
easily get TV on monthly payment options because some people can afford to buy
a TV, they cannot carry to different location for entertainment. Additionally,
electronic gadget like laptop and computer are portable device but it is
very expensive also. some of the people are not educated to operate to use
laptop and therefore it is not considered a preferable choice for
entertainment. Besides, people from poor countries living in rural area where
they cannot afford buying TV by reason of it is expensive and they need a space
to keep a TV set. Since radio sets are similarly cheaper and more people can
afford.
