ENTERTAINMENT ONLY. DISCUSS BOTH VIEWS AND GIVE YOUR OPINION?
Owing to unexpected progress in science and technology broadcast media is one of those technological innovations that are boundlessly used in day to day life. However there are predominantly two contrasting views where a section of society vehemently deems that basic necessity of TV is for academics while other emphasizes that usage of TV is for entertaining the society.
Apparently, various factors make a section of people advocate that TV should be used for education purpose and have many reasons to substantiate it. First and foremost is, in this present era, broadcast media has its own paramount significance and big advantage for education sector. Myriad of things in accordance to education is broadcasted which are fruitful for younglings and other students according to their distinct stages. To vindicate, kids nowadays keenly interested to watch kids channels to enrich their listening skills. Secondly, broadcast media is used for comprehensive development of younglings with education being prime factor for cognitive development by providing plethora of information and learnings for children from TV subsequently, enhance their interpersonal skills, social skills and calculative skills for brain and IQ development from formative years of life. According to BBC survey it is revealed that 45% of younglings going to school worldwide watch channel 311 which has plenty of drama and comedy for children including shows like pretty little liars and baby daddy. Thirdly, in this ultramodern epoch of cut-throat competition the younglings welcomed warmly media to upgrade their knowledge as parliamentary sessions, discovery channel, history has substantial contribution in their holistic development.
On the other hand, some believe that TV is for entertainment purpose only for myriad reasons. Chiefly, in this contemporary era, people from distinct culture and society make their positions in entertainment sector also in spite of good education and other achievements in life because entertainment sector is emerging trend in today's life and even to earn bread and butter for myriad of families. Additionally, the people want holistic development in their life so there is paradigm shift in people to move toward the way of entertainment sector to earn their livelihood and even society enthusiastically watch entertainment programs to make them relax from their monotonous work schedules and give birth to plethora of job opportunity for young ones these days. Besides, the entertainment sector make the way for career and to increase the interest level for many people and children from very early stages of life because in modern days the shows and competitions programs are increasing manifold and give chance to many young ones to show their inherited skills and consequently make their own path to stand out in this sector.
In my profound opinion, both the education and entertainment sector is cheek by jowl necessity for the society. One has to balance the activity of education and entertainment so in life conspicuously it will be a win - win situation
