people believe money is a very important factor for achieving happiness others
however believe that money has nothing to do with happiness. Discuss both views
and give your opinion.
Happiness is a state of mind and every individual has a different perception of happiness however there are predominantly two contrasting view where a section of society vehemently deems that money is imperative to live a happy life while other emphasize that wealth does not determines contentment in person's life.
Apparently, various factors make a section of people advocate that financial resources are vital for a happy life and have many reasons to substantiate it. First and foremost is that money can buy every materialistic thing that comforts an individual in today's world such as living a luxurious life with every facility available.Therefore, strong bank balance provides the opportunity to enjoy life without any restrictions.Secondly, self esteem is directly linked to happiness. Affluent people have a significant status in society due to which they are valued and respected which give them sense of pleasure and superiority over others.Hence, high self esteem fosters the feeling of happiness in many people.
On the other hand, some believe that well being of a person is independent of the cash he possess because of myriad reasons.Chiefly, cash can not bestow joy because it is achieved by satisfaction ,and it is often observed that rich people always run to make more money and forget to live their life in a contented way this leads to disturbance in mental peace.To illustrate, A recent survey in China concluded that most of mental health problems such as depression and anxieties are found in affluent families while impoverished people have reported least mental health problems and living merrier life despite fewer resources.Additionally, abundant wealth attracts many criminals and they are prime target of robbers and offenders so they constantly live under the fear of harm that is why they have to hire security staff as well which destroy the feeling of happiness.
In my opinion, happiness can be achieved from little things in life. Money is not the only parameter to measure happiness rather people should relish whatever they possess.
