It is undeniable fact that traffic has been a burning issue for governments of every nation worldwide .It is often argued that in some nations the government tried to reduce traffic by imposing a congestion tax during peak hours. However it is constructive as well as destructive trend.

Apparently, imposing several measures like congestion tax holds wide range of constructive benefits. To begin with,  imposing tax can reduce traffic jams in urban areas which result people to use more public transport transportation as compared to do private vehicles. For example, according to Forbes ,a survey was conducted Europe in 2016 about 52% of private vehicles reduced after the congestion tax was imposed. Secondly, government can earn more revenue with applying this kind of measure .As the people have no other option instead of using public transport so that government use that money to improve the transport infrastructure and upgrade the traffic system. For instance, after applying the congestion tax on roads Europe government earn good revenue n put handsome amount of money in improving the transportation system which ease the people as well as to the vehicles. Thirdly, reducing pollution is the main advantage of congestion. Reduction of vehicles automatically reduces the environmental pollution as well as noise pollution. As fewer vehicles used..the more the air became safe to inhale.

On the other hand it has myriad detrimental effects. Chiefly, Many people living in rural areas where there is limited chance of using public transport. Trains and buses only scheduled twice or thrice a week. As the importance of private vehicles raised significantly in these kind of areas .Moreover, it is obvious that by applying these kind of tax on private vehicles it also effect the employment opportunities for subsequently, automobile companies decrease their employment number and vacancies .For example, about 62% of youngsters suffered from the unemployment by applying congestion tax on private vehicles in Europe.

To conclude, I believe applying congestion tax is a aggressive decision which benefits both citizens and government but their pros are more beneficial than cons
