Some people think that cultural traditions may be destroyed when they are used as money Making attractions aimed at tourists. Others believe it is the only way to save these traditions. Discuss on both sides and give your opinion.

In the modern era, there is a prolific increase witnessed in the tourism industry which has given people opportunity to explore distinct cultures and traditions. However, there are predominantly two contrasting views where a section of society vehemently deems that this trend is destructive for the growth of a culture, while other emphasizes that it is constructive.

Apparently, various factors make a section of people advocate that tourism could have detrimental ramifications on culture when used as a money making for myriad reasons. First and Foremost, using culture and traditions as a source of income would not only exploit the real history behind the culture, but also leaves a bad impression on the international travellers who are experiencing it. To vindicate, according to BBC research it has been revealed that the publicity of a tradition by just aiming at the tourists leaves a negative impact on the visitors. Secondly, Unlike focusing on showcasing only ancient history behind the culture, people use it as a business. Thus, real events are not depicted to the individuals which could detach the people of same culture from their roots.

Nevertheless, some opine that it has substantial contribution in securing traditions and have many reasons to substantiate it. Chiefly, If right facts and events are depicted to the global vacationers, it would mark a positive impact on them and ultimately lead to growth of that culture. To corroborate, according to Forbes magazines, the reason of surge in people following Chinese culture worldwide is due to positive affects through the tourism. Furthermore, does it provide benefit to the localities? Certainly, yes. Since, rise of the visitors in an area provides a plethora of employment options to the dwellers which eventually uplift their standard of living.

In my profound opinion, although tourism could have its own inherited downsides on a culture, its constructive ripples in terms of generating employment options and promoting a culture globally is unsurpassable. Needless to state, tourism industry has its own merits and demerits on the progression of a tradition.

It is undeniable fact that tradition holds paramount significance role in developing the local economy in this contemporary era, however, there are predominantly two contrasting views where one section of society vehemently deems that cultural traditions lose their importance when sold with motive of earning money, whereas other group of society emphasizes the favor on this trend, considering it the best possible way to stimulate attraction in these traditions.

Apparently, various factors make a section of people advocate that traditions dies when worked for the source of funds by targeting tourists and have many reasons to substantiate it. First and foremost is the originality of the tradition is not widely spread because of which the tourist are not signified with its unique features. Resultantly, just with the purpose of attracting foreigners, its importance and the beauty gets diminished. Secondly, there are numerous incidents where traditions are displayed with inappropriate belief in order to highlight and develop a keen interest of foreigners. To elaborate, as outsiders put a strong belief on the guided tours they may mislead or pass away the false information about the culture to earn extra from them. Henceforth, such incidents tend to significant rise on the damage of our cultural masterpiece.

On the other side, some believe that this is a major way to keep the traditions shining for multifarious reasons. Chiefly, tourism is a mandatory requirement for countries growth. Following this, all the big famous hotels, malls and other dynamic attractions are benefited considerably through tourist owing to our tradition , leading to the development in overall economy. Moreover, this creates an atmosphere of splendid and positive vibes spread  through the form of culture in various countries. In addition to this, foreigners really appreciate the cultural talent which encourage the localities to perform to reap the benefits by earning. Moreover, this develops the unity among citizens and send in the nation’s relations with other nations creating a harmony and peace in the world.

In my profound opinion, traditions exhibit a great importance in stimulating the growth of economy for which the tourist are the quench of thirst to fulfill it. Alternatively, there is no harm in using our traditions to attract money, provided if its originality remains identified.
