Some developed countries have reduced the number of school hours. Is it positive or negative development?

It is an undeniable fact that the education system is constantly undergoing a lot of changes in order to meet the challenges and complexities in the world. It is often argued that the duration of academic ours is mitigated in some developed nations. However, it is constructive as well as destructive trend.

Apparently, curtailing the time period of school hours hold wide range of applauding benefits. To begin with, students can reap the benefits from this phenomenon by doing part time job. Pupils from lower income family would have more time after school to provide authentic helping hand to their parents through his supplementary income. Along with this, learners are extremely interested in participating in internships and if they get extra time from school ,they will be benefited considerably by getting the opportunity so that they can broaden their intellectual horizons. Secondly, it has been scrutinized that the trend of alleviating the time of educational institutes plays substantial contribution in financial savings of both schools and parents. This is because the lesser the clock hours, the minimum utilities such as heating, air conditioning would be used less and consequently chip in dividing the expenditure . To exemplify, the potential savings of reducing a school day by 1.5 hours might result in savings of 6% to 20% of overall budget, depending on buildings and staffing. In general, shortening of time hold towering influence in terms of earnings for students, where as fund savings for school management.

On the other hand, is there any decimal consequences on the trainees by easing off the school time? Certainly yes. It leads to the detrimental effects on their academic performance. Chiefly, an educator need some time and patience to imbibe there pedagogues  to the little ones, but when there is declining in the classroom studies, it creates Achilles heel not only on academic excellence of children, but also quality of teachers have to be compromised. Despite of the dexterous instructors, they have to confront potential problem in their studies, even in the successful career, which is solely guided by the virtuosity teacher. Besides, school authorities have to counted out some non-core subjects such as music, art, sports and etc., which is inextricably intertwined with the holistic development of young ones. This is because by reducing the school time, only few rudimentary subjects are hardly taught by the tutor, resultantly they have to omitted elective one’s.

To conclude, although relaxation in time period from learning place allows the younglings to do work either for experience or gain money , however a profound brunt on their education is unacceptable, which acts as a stumbling block in the progression of them.
