In the past important knowledge of culture and history was stored in museum Nowadays information is freely available on internet therefore is no longer need for museum To what extent do you agree or disagree ? | IELTS | IELTS writing task-2

Since time immemorial, Museums store the traditions and history of our ancestors. It is often argued that the essence of museum is massacred with the accessibility of data on World Wide Web. However, I  firmly disagree with this notion.
Apparently, storing the cultural and historical artwork in museums holds wide range of constructive benefits. First and foremost, not only it provides help to the new generations especially in archeological studies as they can reap the benefits of learning about the religion, culture and tradition, but also act as an entertainment for families by visiting museums they can spend their leisure time in a better way. To vindicate, research by BBC revealed that 89% of educational institutes in India organised trips to museums to make striplings aware about their history.  Secondly, despite the fact that populace are receiving free knowledge on websites , museums cannot be replaced by the internet, since what an individual witness face to face is match less  feeling  to what is being shown online.  Thus, museums acts as a symbol for the diversity of flora and fauna with a vast line of trees and shrubs.

Furthermore, if museums are closed,  the ratio of tourists will also gradually drop as the museum stores inherited culture of the host country which will affect the tourism industry directly or indirectly.  To corroborate, as per for magazine, with the closure of one of the oldest museum in Jodhpur Rajasthan few years back, tourist industry was impacted by 20%.  Additionally, does the information shown online is always accurate? Certainly no, since there are plethora of websites which give false details, hence one cannot have a blind faith on  them. Seemingly, to get accurate information museums are inevitable.

To recapitulate, although the world has witnessed revolutionary inventions in terms of science and technology with internet being most prominent,  however museums have their own substantial contribution in imparting education in terms of culture and history of a country. Needless to state ,the museums are of paramount significance.
