Some people think that young people should follow the traditions of their society and other think that young people should be free to behave as their will. Discuss both the views and give your opinion.
Tradition and culture of a country reflects the beliefs, social structure and religious inclinations of the people. However, there are predominantly two contrasting views where a section of society vehemently deems that young generations should go after the rituals of their coommunity while others emhasize that juveniles should be given the freedom of expression.
Apparently, various factors make a section of people advocate that remaining linked to the cultures has substantial contribution in the gradual evolvement of young people and have many reasons to substantiate it. First and foremost, it not only helps them gain experiences from their forefathers ,but also they can inculcate same teachings to futher generations. To vindicate, according to the BBC research it is revealed that there are 70% chances of a country to succeed in any development if they follow their own tradition and cultures. Secondly, unlike the bygone days when the children used to stay with their grandparents, these days in the nuclear families all the traditions are not followed , but the ones preached should always be respected by younglings. Therefore, staying linked to one's roots of cultures helps the community to be more civilized and cultivates a sense of patraiotism in an individual.
Nevertheless, some believe that youths should be allowed to behave as they like for myriad reasons. Chiefly, if an individual is living abroad there might be several youngsters from diffrent communities and then it becomes difficult to follow one's customs as this might offend the other person. To Corroborate, according to the BBC research it is revealed that 80% of the youngsters from distinct communities who stay together are connected to each other as they remain neutral towards the customs to be followed. Furthermore, do the preaching of each tradition is reasonable? Certainly no, the youngsters today are highly intellectual and need reasoning to be prime motto to believe or follow a custom. Hence, it is better not to impose any unreasonable rituals on them and live them with their own individuality.
In my profound opinion, although there are many opinions supporting the cultural value’s preservation which they should respect and practise their own culture to protect it yet the youth of a country today should be allowed all individuality.
