Nowadays some older people choose to live in retirement communities with other people, rather than living with their adult children. Is it a positive or negative development?
Indubitably, where should oldster spend their retirement life is a question of great significance to not only them ,but also to the entire society. It is often argued that they prefer to live in retirement organizations rather with their loved ones. However, it is constructive as well as destructive trend.
Apparently, dwelling in retirement sections holds wide range of productive benefits. To begin with, it not only provides 24*7 superior medical care to old people, but also other amenities like modern education, fitness classes and health equipment. For instance, in Canada most of the communities provide health and personal care facilities to retired people. Secondly, unlike the one’s living with their senior citizens under burden, retirement communities deplete the adult pressure in providing care to their older ones every time and they can focus more on their future endeavors. Thus, adults as well as their parents can inherit innumerable benefits from these communities.Nevertheless, it entails myriad detrimental ramifications. Chiefly, if the up bringing of children is performed without their grandparent’s love, they will end up in isolation and it will hinder their holistic development at an unprecedented scale. To facilitate this, younglings brought up without grandparents are less social than others. Furthermore, does it affect adults financially? Certainly yes, retirement homes are expensive and most of the them provides plethora of amenities so that they can earn more revenue. Therefore, a retirement home may not be a feasible option for mediocre families.
To recapitulate, although retirement home offers professional care service and social bond it is a promising development, it may not be affordable for some members in the society.
Beautifully expressed ma'am
