Some people think that watching tv is good for children development others disagree. Give your opinion.
Science and technology has grown in leaps and bounds. However there are predominantly two contrasting views where one section of society vehemently Deems that Tv plays a vital role in holistic development of kids while other emphasise otherwise.Nevertheless in my contention, it has both constructive and destructive effects.
Apparently, Can we imagine life without Tv ? Certainly no.watching Tv holds wide range of constructive benefits.Firstly, Tv provides a humongous range of broadcasters based on various subjects including science and technology, language and history to name a few. However Kids can gain vast wisdom just by watching and grabbing tv shows. In fact, A BBC survey showed an approximate 70% exponential rise in kids mental attributes who prefers watching science based programs on Tv.Secondly, Tv not only provides significant content on academic subjects but also on mind development via a handful of mind boggling shows regarding quizzes and puzzles.Thirdly, News channels or debate shows contributes significantly towards students who look forward to pursue career in mass communication.
Paradoxically, it has myriad detrimental effects. Chiefly, watching Tv is an addictive activity and a whole generation is victim of it. For example, BBC published an article about the reasons of students not participating in extra curricular activities and surprisingly the primes factor was that they preferred watching Tv at home. Some of them were being asked the same question regarding involvement in sports activities and found out that if it were not for Watching their favourite Tv shows they would have tried their hands in sports. Additionally,Enjoying our preferred Tv show comes at a price of weakened eye sight.British times published a report showing 70% of students suffer from eye sighting related problems henceforth kids use glasses. Moreover, The obesity has gone extreme among kids ever since the invention of Tv. They volunteer watching Tv over playing outdoor games.
To conclude, Tv provides a mixed bag of both boon and bane. Although the educational, personal and technological aspects can not be ignored yet those gains should not come at the expense of poor health for kids.
