Women are better at parenting than
man. Do you agree or disagree?
It is an old cliche that the prime responsibility of a woman is to nurture the children and man is accountable to earn bread and butter for the family. It is often considered that women are better at parenting. However, I partially agree with this statement.
Apparently, the ladies are better associated with their kids as they carry them inside their womb for nine months which forges the inherent connection between both. Children from infancy period have always felt safer with their mothers because of their compassionate parenting. Secondly, young children totally dependent on their mother during the first three years of life starting from feeding to learning various other skills especially for food which they obtain in the form of mother's milk. Thus, the mother has a crucial role in rearing a child.
On the other hand, men who were earlier considered to be limited to the outdoor activities have become more understanding as their partners are also working and they are not far away in parenting race. Fulfilling financial needs, providing quality education and counselling them for future are also domains of parenting and men are best in these sections. In addition to this, the modern man also participates in household chores as well. Therefore, it would be unwise to belittle their role in upbringing children.
To me, women are for flexible and mediators at times- and permissive. These qualities in the heart of children. The man is more authoritarian and disciplinarian that may spook children when they are young, but these have their own merits.
Overall, both man and woman play different roles in raising children. Back in days, there is evidence that women had upper hand in parenting but it is not the case now.
