Task-1 | General IELTS | Letter

Write a letter to your friend to inform him/her that one of your relatives is travelling to his/her country and say

    • Describe your relative.
    • Why is he travelling there.
    • Why you think they should meet.

Dear Gagan,

Hope this letter finds you in radiant health and best of spirits. You would be overwhelmed with joy to hear that my maternal aunt named Dr. Ranjit Kaur is going to visit Edmonton for fifteen days ie from March 6, 2020 to March 21,2020.

As you know, she is a dentist and she usually shares her experiences with others for being a stupendous and astonishing in her field. Moreover, she is considered as an old hand person as she made substantial contribution of thirty years towards her career.

Apparently, being a mentor and lecturer; she is visiting to your reputed university i.e Sheridan College as she often visits overseas most of the time, so that upcoming doctors would reap the benefits from her extreme knowledge in her field. She is always ready in providing an authentic helping hand to undergraduates as well as postgraduates to large extent.

I strongly urge you, to visit Ransom Hotel during her visit as you are the final year student in the same field so that you can drive maximum benefit for your professional goals. You never know, it may carved a niche for your lifetime journey too. Hey! I will send you more details regarding her room and phone number very soon.

Pay my regards to uncle and aunt.

Your lovingly,
Navneet
