Many sportsperson bring glory to their nations  by achieving success in  local or international sporting events. However, there predominately two contrasting views about rendering financial sources to these sports personalities where a section of society vehemently deems that the government must espouse their finances while others consider it is the onus of non government sources.

Apparently, various factors make a section of people advocate that  the government should take responsibility of monetary resources. First and foremost reason is that these players sacrifice many employment opportunities owing to their dedication for the game. Many expensive training and equipment are often purchased from their personal funds. Henceforth, if the same player is representing a country and bagging the top positions in international competitions should be recognized by the government authorities.Secondly, when a sports team or individual participate in an international event, they  act  as an ambassador of the country and it inspires the nation especially youngsters to follow their footsteps. Ergo, it is a matter of pride for nations as well so such achievers must receive financial benefits.

On the other hand, some people espouse that the non government organisations should  sponsor the sportsperson because it will not only take off the burden from the shoulders of the government authorities but also renders better opportunities for training for players. Moreover, such organisations are business oriented as they can use these players for endorsements of the services consequently adding to more financial gains for the company. For instance, A boxer from India was backed by a business owner of energy drink and when that player won gold  for India , promoted his brand.

In my opinion, the government should provide employment to the people who represent the country on the international front when they retire from their sports activities and continuous aid must be provided by non governmental agencies
